PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims closed the street described in the Schedule hereto.

Revoking a Notice Taking Road for Police Purposes (Residence) in the City of Dunedin

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby revokes the notice, dated the 2nd day of July 1965, and published in the Gazette, 5 August 1965, No. 43, page 1261, taking land for police purposes (residence) in the City of Dunedin.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Birkenhead Borough District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Birkenhead Borough Council in the interests of the Birkenhead Borough District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of February 1967 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of February 1967.

Licensing the Little Rakaia Boating Club. (Inc.) to Occupy Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at Rakaia Huts as a Site for a Boat Launching Ramp

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Little Rakaia Boating Club (Inc.) (hereinafter called the licensee which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Rakaia Huts for the purposes of constructing and maintaining thereon a boat launching ramp, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12197, deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of these regulations shall, as far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) ($10) and the annual sum so payable shall be three pounds (£3) ($6).

  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1966.

Licensing Tauranga Harbour Board to Erect a Mooring Grid on the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at Aerodrome Wharf, Tauranga Harbour

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Tauranga Harbour Board (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12121 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a mooring grid as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of these regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1966.

(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be one shilling payable on demand.

Declaring Water-ski Access Lane at Kaiteriteri Bay

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be an access lane and that within such access lane regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply.

FIRST SCHEDULE

THE access lane shall be marked as follows:

  1. Two 8 foot transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 feet or more than 20 feet between and painted with 12 inch bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited on high-water mark.

  2. On each of the transit posts sited on high-water mark there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane, a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted bright orange with black lettering.

  3. The aforesaid notice board shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962

Access lane through which motor launches and water-skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.

BATHERS KEEP OUT.”

  1. Marker buoys either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 yards apart and in line with each set of transit posts, the first buoy being 50 yards from the waters edge.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area of water in Kaiteriteri Bay bounded on the sides by parallel lines 125 yards apart extending in 115° true direction 200 yards from the edge of the water, the northern boundary being approximately in line with the south-eastern corner of the residence of the domain caretaker.
