Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Additional Land at Paeroa for the Purposes of the Waikato-Thames Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of April 1949 and published in the Gazette of that year at page 977 and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 12644, in so far as it affects that portion of land containing 11·84 perches, being part Lot 27, D.P. 1603; situated in Block XII, Waihou Survey District, Borough of Paeroa. (S.O. 33974.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9740 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of September 1966.

Declaring Land in Otago Land District, Vested in the Otago Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—BRUCE COUNTY
PART Section 8A, Greenfield Settlement, situated in Block IV, Waitahuna West Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less (S.O. Plan 2135).

Directing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of September 1966
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the District Valuation Rolls for the districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at 1 October 1966.
SCHEDULE
City: Auckland:
Boroughs: Northcote, Picton, Pukekohe, Runanga, Tawa.
Counties: Ashley, Egmont, Eltham, Oxford, Patea, Waipawa.
Town Districts: Kaponga, Waverley.

PURSUANT to the discretion conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 9, Valuation of Land Act 1951, the Valuer-General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the foregoing Order in Council, so far as it relates to Auckland City, by revising only those properties on the district valuation roll which lie within the Grey Lynn portion.

WHEREAS, by the Order in Council dated the 30th day of July 1923*, made under the British Settlements Act 1887 of the United Kingdom Parliament, the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of New Zealand for the time being (thereinafter and hereinafter called the Governor) was appointed to be the Governor of the Ross Dependency, and all the powers and authorities which by the said order were given and granted to the Governor for the time being of the Dependency were thereby vested in him:
And whereas the Governor was thereby further authorised and empowered to make all such rules and regulations as might lawfully be made by Her Majesty’s authority for the peace, order, and good government of the Dependency:
And whereas, by regulations made by the Governor on the 14th day of November 1923†, it was enacted that all persons appointed by the Governor for the time being of the Dependency should have such power and authority as might be granted them in due course of law, and might be empowered to do such things as might be necessary or desirable to ensure that the laws in force in the Dependency are duly observed and complied with in every respect, and to do all
