Extending Time for Holding General Election of Members of the Ohai Railway Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS a triennial election of the members of the Ohai Railway Board was required to be held on the 29th day of January 1966, pursuant to section 4 (6) of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, but no such election was held on that date or has been held since that date: And whereas it is expedient that the time for the holding of that general election be extended: Now, therefore, pursuant to section 100 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby extends until the 12th day of November 1966 the date for holding the general election of the members of the Board that was required to be held on the 29th day of January 1966.
