Declaring Land in Otago Land District, Vested in the Otago
Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to Be Vested
in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being
an area vested in the Otago Education Board as a site for a
public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed
and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same,
but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements
affecting the same at the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—WAIKOUAITI COUNTY

Lot 1, D.P. 9863, being part Section 2 of 23, Block IV,
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District: Area, 2 roods
and 25 perches, more or less. Balance certificate of title,
Volume 224, folio 119.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this
20th day of September 1966.

Authorising Ian Elliot Appleton and Kathleen Nola Appleton,
General Storekeepers, of Hicks Bay to Erect and Use
Certain Electric Lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of
September 1966

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Ian
Elliot Appleton and Kathleen Nola Appleton, general store-
keepers, Hicks Bay (hereinafter referred to as the licensees),
subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, con-
struct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in
the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1961 shall be incorporated in and shall
    form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be
    inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
    the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the
    Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in
    amendment thereof or in substitution thereof respectively,

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph
    (d) of regulations 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations
    1935, and shall be an alternating-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall
    continue in force until the 31st day of March 1987 or until
    a supply of electricity is available from an electric power
    board or other public source of supply, whichever is the
    earlier.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of
supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensees’
generator and proceeding in an easterly direction across
Hicks Bay wharf road to the licensees’ oil store.

All D.P. 3396 of Wharekahika 18k 5A Block, Block VIII,
Matakaoa Survey District, in the County of Waipu, the said
lines being shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 708 deposited
in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department
at Wellington.

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of
September 1966

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 27 of the Local Government Commission
Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
appoints

Mr John Bryce Thomson, Stipendiary Magistrate, of
Wellington,

to be the Local Government Appeal Authority for the
purposes of that Act, for a term expiring on the 31st day
of December 1970 in place of His Honour Kendrick Gee
Archer, resigned.
