FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Featherston County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, a metal pit, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the said Council, situated at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation), must state their objections in writing and send the written objection, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough.

If any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of the objections will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the date and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land in Block II, Waipawa Survey District, containing 1 acre 3 roods 29 perches, being part Lot 2, Deposited Plan 5458, part No. 5, Hautotara Maori Reserve,

and being part certificate of title, Volume 598, folio 131 (Wellington Registry); as the same is delineated on Plan S.O. 26545, and thereon coloured sepia.

This land adjoins the Martinborough-East Coast (Awhea Road) on its northern side, a distance of approximately 6½ miles from the Martinborough Post Office.

Date of first publication of this notice is the 15th day of September 1966.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STOP ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under section 148 of the said Act, to stop the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the piece of road required to be stopped is deposited in the office of the said Council, situated at Springs Flat, Kamo, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the stopping of such piece of road who have any objections to the stopping must lodge their objection in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Box 4102, Kamo.

HIKURANGI TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hikurangi Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Hikurangi Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for sewerage works, the said Hikurangi Town Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·3018d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Town District of Hikurangi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000, authorised to be raised by Whangarei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Council held on Friday, 9 September 1966.
