PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Waikato County Council stopping the portions of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of road containing 2 acres and 20·5 perches
situated in Block XII, Rangiriri Survey District, adjoining or

The Waitangi Rural Fire District Order 1948,
Amendment No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 31st day of
August 1966

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.


O R D E R

  1. This order may be cited as the Waitangi Rural Fire
    District Order 1948, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read
    together with and deemed part of the order constituting the
    Waitangi Rural Fire District made on the 17th day of
    November 1948* (hereinafter referred to as the principal
    order).

  2. The principal order may hereinafter be cited as the
    Waitangi Rural Fire District Order 1948.

  3. The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended
    by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule
    set out in the Schedule to this order.


SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE to be substituted for the Schedule to the principal
order:

“SCHEDULE

“NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
“Waitangi Rural Fire District

“ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of
Islands County, containing approximately 16,000 acres and
bounded generally as follows:

“Commencing at a point in Block XI, Kerikeri Survey
District, on the right bank of the Okura River, being the
northern end of the generally eastern boundary of part Lot 2,
D.P. 30595, and proceeding northerly along the right bank
of that river to and easterly along the shores of the Kerikeri
Inlet to and southerly along the shores of the Bay of Islands
to the easternmost point of Lot 2, D.P. 25368; thence westerly
and thence southerly generally by the boundaries of Lot 2
aforesaid to the Waitangi River; thence westerly again along
the left bank of the aforesaid river to its intersection in
Block III, Kawakawa Survey District with a right line
between the south-eastern corner of Lot 3, D.P. 28650, on
the northern side of Bayley Road in the said Block III, and
the centre of the Haruru Falls in Block IV, Kawakawa
Survey District; thence westerly along that right line to the
aforesaid south-eastern corner, along another right line to
the westernmost corner of Pukawhau Block in Block II,
Kawakawa Survey District, and north-easterly along another
right line to the point of commencement.

“As shown on plan No. 6/27 deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.”
