Appointments and Regulations




Pursuant to regulation52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from 19 September 1966, all appointments or approvals for the issue of warrants of fitness for motor vehicles heretofore made or given, as the case may be, in terms of the said regulations, for any person or firm whose place of examination for the purpose of issue of warrants of fitness is situated within the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

The whole of the area constituted by the districts of the City of Takapuna, the Boroughs of Devonport, Birkenhead, Northcote, East Coast Bays, Glenfield County Town, and other portions of the Waitemata County bounded to the east by the shores of the Hauraki Gulf, to the west and to the south by the shores of the Waitemata Harbour, and to the west by a line commencing at Helleyers Creek at a point near Bay View Road; thence north-westerly generally to the south-western side of Schnapper Rock Road and excluding the township of Greenhithe; thence north-westerly generally along that roadside to a point on Lucas Creek; thence north-easterly generally along the eastern bank of Lucas Creek to the northern side of Wharf Road; thence easterly generally along that roadside to the north-western side of Wairau Road to Albany School; thence in a direct line north-easterly generally to North Cross corner and excluding Albany township; thence north-westerly generally along the north-western side of East Coast Road to the northern side of Glenvar Road; thence north-easterly generally along that roadside to Awaruku Creek; the boundary of the whole area being indicated in green on the plan deposited in the Head Office of the Transport Department in Wellington.

Appointment of Member of Domain Board

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

Gordon James Maclean Sweetman

to be a member of the Kohinui Domain Board, Wellington Land District, in place of Keith Fulton, resigned.

Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for the preservation of flora and fauna.
