PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, termination of commission, and retirement of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Appointment to Career Commission
Flight Lieutenant Roger Selwyn Holdaway (466931) is appointed to a career commission for a period ending 18 December 1978.
Promotions
Squadron Leader (temp.) Peter Sydney Rule (551601) to be Squadron Leader, with effect from 22 April 1966.
Flight Lieutenant Ivan Noel Moran, A.F.M. (71809), to be Squadron Leader, with effect from 1 August 1966.

Appointment
Special Duties Division
Anthony Edward West (82887) is granted a short-service commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division) Regular Air Force for a period ending 31 July 1971, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant with seniority from 1 August 1962, with effect from 1 August 1966.
Promotion
Squadron Leader (temp.) Austin John Blakeway (70640) to be Squadron Leader, with effect from 4 June 1966.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments
Arthur Gavin Elliott is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Flight Lieutenant for a period ending 3 August 1970, with seniority from 18 May 1962, with effect from 4 August 1966.
Peter Bertram Oxenbridge is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 3 August 1970, with seniority from 23 August 1965, with effect from 4 August 1966.
Roger Malcolm Buckton, A.R.C.M., A.C.A., is granted an honorary commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Flying Officer for a period ending 3 August 1970, with seniority from 29 November 1965, with effect from 4 August 1966.
Kevin Reginald Briscoe is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer for a period ending 30 January 1970, with seniority and effect from 2 August 1966.
John Cresswell Martin is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer for a period ending 4 November 1968, with seniority and effect from 3 August 1966.
Termination of Commission
The commission of John Hamilton Goss is terminated, with effect from 2 August 1966.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Retirement

Revoking Appointment of, and Appointing, Licensing Authorities for Issue of Heavy Traffic Licences
PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 10 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955*, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes, as from the 31st day of August 1966, the Warrants dated 21 April 1966† and 30 May 1966‡, appointing the local authorities described in column 1 of the First Schedule hereto as the licensing authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority, and for such area or other areas as are described in column 2 of the First Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints, as from the said 31st day of August 1966, the local authorities described in column 1 of the Second Schedule hereto to be the licensing authorities for the purpose of collecting heavy traffic fees due under the said regulations for the district of the respective local authority, and for such area or other areas as are described in column 2 of the Second Schedule opposite the respective name of the said local authority:
Provided that the Commissioner of Transport shall be the licensing authority in the case of all heavy motor vehicles owned by the Crown as provided by subclause (2) of the said regulation.
