Pursuant to the Counties Insurance Empowering Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Counties Insurance Empowering Order 1966.
  2. Consent is hereby given to the exercise by the New Zealand Counties Cooperative Insurance Co. Ltd. of such of the powers conferred by paragraph (c) of clause 2 of its Memorandum of Association as will enable the company to carry on the business of insurance in respect of any Electric Power Board (including the Auckland Electric Power Board).

The Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1966

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1966.
  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby granted a licence to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines, and to construct electric works which may from time to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity within the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  5. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
  6. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1987.
  7. The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto, authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines and to construct electric works, are hereby revoked.

    THE Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power District, as defined in the Second Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 27th day of July 1960, and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of August 1960, at page 1042.

Boundaries of County of Hutt and City of Lower Hutt Altered

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. On and from the 1st day of October 1966 the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Hutt and included in the City of Lower Hutt.
  2. The alteration of the boundaries of the said County and the said City hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
    SCHEDULE
    ALL that area in the Hutt County, containing 1,170 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of Section 232, Hutt District, with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12561, in Block XV, Belmont Survey District, being also a point on the boundary of the City of Lower Hutt as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1957, page 2199, and proceeding generally south-westerly along the generally eastern, southern, and, again, eastern boundaries of that lot to its southernmost corner; thence north-westerly along the generally south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 to the westernmost corner of that lot; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig Station Fitzherbert, and westerly along another right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 22204; thence generally south-westerly along the generally northern and north-western boundaries of that lot to its south-western corner, along a right line to Trig Station Towai, along another right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 76, Hutt District, along the south-eastern boundaries of that Section and Section 77, Hutt District, to and along the generally eastern side of the Wainui Hill Road to a point on the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 77, approximately 330 links from the south-eastern corner of that section, and along that boundary to the generally western side of the said Wainui Hill Road, being a point on the generally south-eastern boundary of the City of Lower Hutt, afore-said; thence generally north-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Captain John Mowbray Michael is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, in the rank of Captain. Dated 31 March 1966.
Lieutenant Stephen Leslie Mehaffy is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, Royal Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, in the rank of Lieutenant. Dated 1 July 1966.
2nd Lieutenant John Cedric Crawford resigns his commission. Dated 16 March 1966.
