The substance and effect of the consent is to allow, subject
to certain conditions, the applicant to erect a commercial
building on the said land, notwithstanding that the building
will exceed the maximum coverage of 90 per cent allowable
in respect of corner sites in a commercial B zone.

The full description of the land is shown in the said
application; which may be inspected, without fee, at any time
during office hours, at the Town Clerk's Office, Liardet Street,
New Plymouth.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Featherston District Borough Schemeβ€”No. 3 Amendment
Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1960, public notice is hereby given that the No. 3 amendment
to the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953, dealing with a zoning change, was approved
by the Borough Council by a resolution at its meeting on the
18th day of August 1966.

There were no objections.

The Council has also resolved that the amendment shall
come into force on the 29th day of August 1966.

Copies of the amendment have been deposited in the
Council office and public library, and may be inspected,
without fee, by any person who requires, at any time when
those places are open to the public.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Gracefield Section of Hutt County
District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Hutt County Council made on 17 August 1966, a district
scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town
and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the
Gracefield area, being the balance of the former Eastern
Bays Riding of Hutt County. The scheme has been deposited
in the office of the Town Planner, Hutt County Council,
Bowen House, Wellington, in accordance with section 22 (1)
of that Act, and is there open for inspection without fee to
all persons interested therein at any time during normal
business hours.

Objections to the scheme, or to any part thereof, shall be in
writing on form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than
30 November 1966. At a later date every objection will be
open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to
support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard
at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk
in writing within the period of which public notice will be
given.

Public Notification of Amendment No. 5 to No. 1 Review,
Petone Borough Approved District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution
of the Council dated 26 July 1966, Amendment No. 5 to the
No. 1 review of the Petone Borough district scheme has
been recommended for approval under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953.

The amendment relates to the rezoning, from rural to
residential, of part Lot 35, Maungaraki Settlement, containing
an area of approximately 1 acre 2 roods 15 perches, and
shown on a plan deposited in the Petone Borough Council
offices, where it is open to inspection, without fee, to all
persons interested therein at any time when the offices are
open to the public.

Objections to the amendment shall be in writing, on form
E prescribed in the First Schedule of the Town and Country
Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office
of the Council at any time not later than Friday, 7 October
1966. At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection and any person who wishes to oppose or support
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of
objections, if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within
a period of which public notice will be given.

CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Christchurch City District Scheme

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 35 of the above Act
and of regulation 32 of the Town and Country Planning
Regulations 1960, Group Developments Ltd. give notice that
it has applied to the Christchurch City Council for its consent
to a specified departure from the provisions of the above
scheme, in so far as it affects the land in Beach Road, being
more particularly described as Lot 13 and part Lots 14 and
15, D.P. 24374, part R.S. 39123, and being situated on the
south side of Beach Road, approximately midway between
Britannia Street and Bower Avenue.

The applicant asks that the district scheme remain without
variation or change while the above-described land be permitted
to be used, with consent, for the purpose of a garage
and petrol service station.

Any person or body objecting to, or supporting, the proposals
set out in the application, or desiring to vary them, is required
to submit his or its arguments in writing to the Town Clerk,
Christchurch City Council, not later than noon on the 13th day
of September 1966.

Any person or body so objecting to, or supporting the
application is entitled to be heard by the Council, or by a
committee thereof, constituted for the purpose.

A copy of the application may be inspected, without fee, at
the office of the City Engineer, Town Planning Section, 166
Gloucester Street, at any time when the office is open to the
public.

Inviting Proposals for the Westport Borough Council District
Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Westport Borough
Council, at its meeting held on the 15th day of August 1966,
has resolved to prepare for the Westport Borough a district
scheme, as required by the provisions of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the
district, as defined by section 2 of the Act, is hereby invited
to submit full information as to proposals (including public
works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered
in the preparation of the scheme.

Proposals, marked "Westport Borough Council District
Scheme", should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered
at the Town Clerk's office on or before the 20th day of December
1966.

ADVERTISMENT OF CANCELLING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Deputy Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies
Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 23rd day of
August 1966, cancelled the registry of Saint Dominic's Branch,
No. 1019, a branch of the New Zealand District of the
Hibernian-Australasian Catholic Benefit Society (Register No.
198/129), held at Tauranga, on the ground that the said branch
has ceased to exist.
