DUNEDIN CITY CORPORATION
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the city of Dunedin (hereinafter
called “the said corporation”) propose, under the provisions
of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work,
namely, to widen Taieri Road in the city of Dunedin, and
for the purposes of such public work the land described in
the Schedule hereto requires to be taken: and notice is
hereby further given that the land so required to be taken
is all the land comprised in certificate of title register book,
Volume 271, folio 206, Otago Registry; that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said lands should, if they have any objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment
of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send
such written objection within 40 days from the first publica-
tion of this notice, namely, the 11th day of August 1966,
to the town clerk of the said corporation; that if any
objection is made in accordance with this notice a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires; and that each objector will be advised of
the time and place of hearing.
SCHEDULE
THAT piece of land containing 26·6 poles, more or less, being
part Section 16, Block IV, Upper Kaikorai District, and
being all the land comprised in certificate of title register
book, Volume 271, folio 206, Otago Registry (limited as to
parcels). The said piece of land is known as 135 Taieri Road,
Dunedin.

BAY OF PLENTY CATCHMENT COMMISSION
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Office Loan 1966, £25,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Bay of Plenty Catchment Commission resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay
of Plenty Catchment Commission under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of erecting and furnishing public offices,
the said Bay of Plenty Catchment Commission do hereby
make a special rate of decimal nought nought three one five
pence (·00315) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value,
(on the basis of the capital value), of all rateable property
in the Bay of Plenty Catchment Commission area; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was
passed by the Bay of Plenty Catchment Commission at a
meeting held on the 2nd day of August 1966.

OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioner Flats Supplementary Loan—Stage II 1966, £11,090
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of eleven thousand and ninety pounds (£11,090) autho-
ried to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under
the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for
the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Pensioner
Flats Supplementary Loan 1963, £113,000, was raised, the said
Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
decimal nought two six six pence (·0266d.) in the £ upon the
unimproved value of all rateable property in the borough of
Otahuhu, and that the special rate shall be in an annually
recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
“That the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby appropriates
and pledges the foregoing rate as security for the said loan.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of
resolution No. 438, passed by the Otahuhu Borough Council,
and recorded in the minutes of proceedings of the meeting
held on the 27th day of July 1966.

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1966, £28,500,
authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way
of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommoda-
tion for old people, the Takapuna City Council makes a
special rate of decimal nought three three pence (·033d.) in
the pound (£) on the rateable value, on the basis of the
unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of
Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 (thirty)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taka-
puna City Council held on the 4th day of August 1966.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1966, £10,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments
of principal and interest on a loan of £10,000, authorised to
be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of providing accommodation
for aged persons, the said Wanganui City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 0·015 of a penny in the
£ upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved
value, of all rateable property in the city of Wanganui, com-
prising the whole of the city of Wanganui, the boundaries
whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd
day of February 1966, No. 5, at page 125; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the cur-
rency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of 40 years from the date of the raising
of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at the meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on the
8th day of August 1966.

HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling,
the Horowhenua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of
the principal, interest, and other charges on the board’s
Electric Reticulation Loan No. 16, 1965, of £200,000, autho-
ried to be raised by the Horowhenua Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying
and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the
Horowhenua Electric Power Board district, and for such pur-
pose to do all or any of such matters and things which the
