RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Water Supply and Sewerage Redemption Loan
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £21,500 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of repaying that portion of the Water Supply and Sewerage Extension Loan 1955, which matured on 1 July 1966, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of ·246d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the borough of Oamaru, and that the said special rate shall be paid annually on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off”.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Monday, 25 July 1966.

Change No. 4 in District Scheme Approved
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that Change No. 4 in the Gisborne City district scheme was approved by the Gisborne City Council on 19 July 1966 and becomes operative on 4 August 1966.
Copies of the change (which is a map correction only) may be inspected at the council’s office and public library during the hours when these places are open to the public.

Review of Palmerston North City District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 27th day of June 1966, the Palmerston North district scheme, as already operative, is under review and the Council has recommended that the scheme, with the changes now incorporated therein, be approved.
The scheme as now recommended by the Council has been deposited in the Council Chambers; the Public Library, The Square; and the branch libraries at Roslyn, Takaro, and Hokowhitu, and is there open for inspection by all persons interested therein, without fee, at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the proposed changes of the district scheme, or in respect of any portion of the operative district scheme, which the Council proposes to confirm without any change, may be made by way of written notice in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked “Objection to District Scheme”, and lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 9 a.m. on Monday the 19th day of September 1966.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

Amendments to Upper Hutt City Reviewed District Scheme Approved
Amendments Nos. 1(A), 1(B), 1(C), 3, Remainder of 4, 6, and 7
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that amendments Nos. 1(A), 1(B), 1(C), 3, remainder of 4, 6, and 7 to the reviewed district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the city of Upper Hutt, were approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 26th day of July 1966, there being no objection to these amendments, and the reviewed scheme has been amended to give effect to these amendments. The Council has also resolved that these amendments shall come into operation on the 4th day of August 1966.
Copies of the amendments to the reviewed district scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

Public Notification of Proposed Changes to the Christchurch City Council District Planning Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given pursuant to resolutions of the Christchurch City Council made on the 18th day of July 1966, that changes to the Council’s District Planning Scheme have been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1953. The changes are listed in the Schedule hereto.
The changes have been deposited in the Council offices at 194 Manchester Street, the Council offices at Sumner and New Brighton, the Land Registry Office in Worcester Street, the Canterbury Public Library in Cambridge Terrace, and each of the suburban libraries, namely: Addington, Beckenham, Burwood, Hoon Hay, Linwood, Mairehau, Mt. Pleasant, New Brighton, North New Brighton, Opawa, Papanui, Redcliffs, St. Albans, St. Martins, Spreydon, Sumner, Sydenham, Waltham, Woolston, and are there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the proposed changes or any part thereof shall be in writing in Form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 or to the like effect marked “Objection to District Scheme Change” and shall be lodged at the offices of the Council at any time not later than the 30th day of September 1966. An appropriate form for the use of objectors is available from all those places where the proposed changes are open for inspection.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

No. 36—Land situate on the corner of Wilsons Road and Wades Avenue being the site of the St. Martins Public Library and the adjoining section thereto to be rezoned from Commercial “A” to Residential “A”; being all those parcels of land situate in the City of Christchurch containing one rood twelve and eight-tenths of a perch (0a. 1rd. 12·8p.) more or less, being Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan 7969, part of Rural Section 16, and being all of the land contained in certificates of title, Volume 512, folio 99, and Volume 381, folio 243, Canterbury Registry.
No. 37—Land situate at 84 North Avon Road at present designated for “Post Office purposes” to be rezoned to Residential “B”, being all that piece of land situate in the City of Christchurch containing twenty-two and one-tenth of a perch (22·1p.) more or less, being part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 1751, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 258, folio 249, Canterbury Registry.
Code Amendments:
No. 38—(a) Ordinance 9, Residential “B” and Residential “C” zones. Bulk and location requirements for apartment houses (to be known as “blocks of flats”) have been extensively revised and altered.
(b) Ordinance 2, Additional definitions incidental to (a) above have been inserted.
(c) Ordinance 8, Regulation and Procedure in Respect of Uses. Amendments incidental to (a) above have been made.
(d) Ordinance 13, Siting of Buildings. Amendments incidental to (a) above have been made.
(e) Ordinance 15, Requirements as to Residential Buildings on Rear Sites. Amendments incidental to (a) above have been made.
(f) Ordinance 19, Loading and Parking. Amendments incidental to (a) above have been made.
(g) A further appendix, Appendix “D”, incidental to (a) above is to be inserted in the Code of Ordinances.
