of Section 9, Block V, Kaitangata Survey District; thence
generally westerly along the southern side of an unnamed road
to its intersection with an unnamed road through Section 3,
Block V, aforesaid; thence generally south-westerly along
the south-eastern side of that last-mentioned road to the
westernmost corner of Section 1, Block V, aforesaid; thence
south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Sections
1 and 2 to a point in line with the north-western boundary
of Section 10, Block V, South Tuakitoto Survey District;
thence south-westerly to and generally south-westerly along
the south-eastern side of Lakeside Road to the north-western
boundary of Section 3, Block V, aforesaid; thence south-
westerly along a right line being the production of the north-
western boundary of that Section 3, to the eastern shore of
Lake Tuakitoto; thence generally northerly and westerly
along the eastern and northern shores of that lake to a
point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 3,
Block VIII, South Tuakitoto Survey District; thence north-
westerly to and along the north-eastern boundary of that
section to its north-western corner; thence south-westerly
along the north-western boundary of Section 3 aforesaid to
the middle of Stony Creek; thence generally north-westerly
up the middle of that creek to the southern boundary of
Section 10A, Barnego Settlement; thence easterly and north-
westerly along the southern and north-eastern boundaries of
that section to a point in line with the western boundary of
Section 25, Block VII, Hillend Survey District; thence
northerly to and along that western boundary and easterly
along the northern boundary of that section to its north-
eastern corner; thence due north along a right line to the
middle of Lovells Creek; thence generally northerly up the
middle of that creek to the southernmost corner of Lot 2,
D.P. 4684; thence generally north-easterly along the south-
eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 4, D.P. 4684, to the eastern-
most corner of that last-mentioned lot; thence generally
north-westerly along the south-western side of Mount Stuart -
Lovells Flat Road and its production to the southernmost
corner of Block IV, Waitahuna East Survey District; thence
generally north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary
of that Survey District to Trig. Q Round Hill; thence due
north along a right line to the south-western corner of
Section 28, Block VII, Table Hill Survey District; thence
generally north-easterly along the north-western side of an
unnamed road to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Section 29, Block VII, aforesaid; thence generally
south-easterly to and along the south-western side of an
unnamed road forming the north-eastern boundaries of the
said Section 29 and Sections 72 and 91, Block IV, Table Hill
Survey District, to the easternmost corner of Section 91 afore-
said; thence generally westerly along the northern side of
Nugget Creek Road to the middle of Shepherds Gully
Stream; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of
Shepherds Gully Stream and its production to the middle
of the Tokomairiro River (West Branch); thence generally
north-easterly up the middle of that river to the south-eastern
side of an unnamed road; thence generally north-easterly
along the south-eastern side of the said unnamed road and
Fishers Creek Road and its production to the middle of the
Tokomairiro River (East Branch); thence generally north-
easterly up the middle of that river to the northern side
of an unnamed road forming the southern boundary of
Section 1, Block X, Table Hill Survey District; thence along
a right line bearing 91Β° 34' to the southernmost corner of
that Section 1; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along
the north-western and north-eastern sides of that unnamed
road to the eastern boundary of Block X, Table Hill Survey
District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of
Block X aforesaid to the southern boundary of Section 6,
Block IX, Clarendon Survey District; thence easterly along
that boundary and its production to and along the southern
boundary of Section 14, Block IX aforesaid, to the western
boundary of Section 47, Block IX, aforesaid; thence southerly
along that boundary, the western boundaries of Sections 56
and 57, Block IX, aforesaid, the western boundary of Section
16, Block VIII, Clarendon Survey District, and its production
to and along the western boundary of Section 15, Block
VIII, aforesaid, and its production to and along the western
boundaries of Sections 28 and 29, Block VIII, aforesaid, to
the north-eastern side of Clarendon-Circle Hill Road; thence
generally south-easterly along the north-eastern side of that
road to the Clarendon-Berwick Road; thence north-easterly
along the north-western side of that road to the south-western
boundary of Block X, Waihola Survey District; thence south-
easterly along that south-western boundary to the shore of
Lake Waihola; thence generally north-easterly along the
south-eastern shore of that lake to the south-eastern boundary
of Block XXII, Waihola Survey District; thence generally
north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary to the point
of commencement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 11th day of
July 1966
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Whangapoua Rural Fire
    District Order 1966.
  2. This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  3. The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby
    constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be
    known as the Whangapoua Rural Fire District.
  4. The trees and other plants on State forest land situated
    in the said area are hereby specified as the property for
    the protection of which this district is constituted.
  5. The Whangapoua Rural Fire District shall, for the
    purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, be
    administered by the Minister of Forests.
  6. The period between the 1st day of October in any year
    and the 30th day of April in the following year is hereby
    specified and declared to be a closed fire season in the said
    district.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT-AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Whangapoua Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Coro-
mandel County, containing approximately 34,100 acres,
bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner
of Section 4, Block XI, Coromandel Survey District, and
proceeding generally northerly along the generally western
boundary of Section 6, Block XI, aforesaid, across a public
road, to and generally north-westerly along the generally
south-western boundaries of Section 17, Block VII, and
Section 17, Block VI, both of Coromandel Survey District,
to the northernmost corner of that last-mentioned section,
being a point on the south-eastern side of a public road;
thence generally south-westerly along that generally south-
eastern side, to a point in line with the generally north-
eastern boundary of Section 4, Block VI, aforesaid; thence
to and generally north-westerly along that boundary, to
and generally northerly along the generally eastern boundaries
of Otumohokauri Block and Taumatawhahine Block, to the
northernmost corner of that last-named block, being a
point on the south-eastern side of a public road; thence
south-westerly, generally north-easterly and generally south-
easterly along the south-eastern, generally north-western and
generally south-eastern sides of that public road, to and
generally northerly along the generally eastern boundary of
Section 13, Block II, of the aforesaid Survey District, to
and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of
parts Karaka No. 1 Block, to and generally easterly along
the generally northern boundaries of Section 27, Block II,
and Section 1 of Block III, both of the aforesaid survey
district, to and south-easterly along a right line to the inter-
section of the western boundary of the Kaeaea Block situated
in Block VII Coromandel Survey District with the Horongo-
herehere Stream thence generally south-easterly and easterly
along the generally south-western and southern boundaries
of that Kaeaea Block, crossing on intersecting public road,
to the foreshore of the Whangapoua Harbour; thence southerly
along that foreshore, to and along the right bank of the
Opitonui River to the northern side of an intersecting
public road, situated in Block VII, Coromandel Survey
District; thence generally easterly along that generally
northern side, to a point in line with the generally north-
eastern boundary of part Section 2, Block IV, Otama
Survey District; thence to and generally south-easterly along
that boundary, and generally southerly along the generally
eastern boundary, to the south-easternmost corner of the
said part Section 2; thence southerly along a right line
to the easternmost corner of part Section 3, Block IV
aforesaid (Provisional State Forest, N.Z. Gazette, 1920, page
923), and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary
of that part Section 3A, to and across a public road to the
easternmost corner of Section 1, Block VII, Otama Survey
District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern
boundary of that Section 1 to its westernmost corner; thence
northerly along a right line to the eastern end of a line
bearing 12Β° 47' distance 1395.4 links, being part of the
western boundary of Section 3 of Block VII, aforesaid;
thence south-westerly along a right line parallel to a further
right line between the westernmost corner of Section 1
aforesaid, and the westernmost corner of the Arerowhero
Block, to its intersection with the right bank of the Tarapatiki
Stream; thence westerly along that right bank to its source;
thence south-westerly along a right line to the source of a
