Inviting Proposals for Milton Borough District Scheme No. 2
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Milton Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 18th day of May 1966, has resolved to prepare for the additional areas now included in the Borough of Milton, as described in the Schedule to this notice, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person concerned, and every local authority in the district as defined in section 2 of the Act, is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the scheme.
Proposals marked “Milton Borough District Scheme No. 2” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 14th day of November 1966.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, Tokomairiro Riding, containing 17 acres and 32 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 4, Deeds Plan 361, Block XI, Tokomairiro Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that lot to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Stewart Road; thence south-westerly to and along the south-eastern side of Stewart Road and its production to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 5967; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of that lot and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-western side of Springfield Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of Springfield Road to a point in line with the north-western side of Johnson Street; thence north-easterly to and along the north-western side of Johnson Street to the easternmost corner of Lot 26, Block IV, Deeds Plan 306; thence south-easterly to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10, Deeds Plan 362, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, Tokomairiro Riding, containing 7 acres and 32 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Lot 19, D.P. 1114, Block XVIII, Tokomairiro Survey District, and proceeding south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of that lot and Lots 18, 17, 16, and 15, D.P. 1114, along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 14, D.P. 1114, and along the south-eastern boundaries of that lot and Lots 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6, D.P. 1114, to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 1114; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of that lot and Lot 4, D.P. 1114, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 1114, and its production to the south-western side of Villa Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western sides of Villa Road and Moore Street to a point in line with the north-western side of Burns Street; thence north-westerly to and along the north-western side of Burns Street to the easternmost corner of Lot 70, Block VIII, Deeds Plan II; thence south-easterly to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 19, D.P. 1114, to the point of commencement.
THIRD SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, Tokomairiro Riding, containing 1 acre and 7 perches, more or less, being all that land shown on D.P. 4061.
Secondly, all that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, Tokomairiro Riding, containing 159 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 115, Block XII, Tokomairiro Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the south-eastern side of the South Island Main Trunk railway to the westernmost corner of Lot 5, Deeds Plan 309; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that lot to its southernmost corner; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Deeds Plan 309, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to a point distant 550·7 links north-east from the northernmost corner of Lot 4, Deeds Plan 309; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 5, Deeds Plan 309, to the north-western side of No. 1 State Highway; thence south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Lot 5, D.P. 8387; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of that Lot 5, and Lot 6, Block II, D.P. 93, to the north-western side of Constitution Avenue; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Constitution Avenue to the south-western side of Highgate; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of Highgate to the north-western side of Sunny Avenue; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of Sunny Avenue and its production to the north-eastern boundary of Section 99, Block XI, Tokomairiro Survey District; thence south-easterly along that boundary to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 10, Deeds Plan 362; thence south-westerly along a right line to the north-western corner of that Lot 10; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western side of Melville Street to the south-eastern side of No. 1 State Highway; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of that highway to the westernmost corner of Lot 1, Block III, Deeds Plan 306; thence north-westerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Lot 15, Deeds Plan 68; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Sections 103, 122, 117, and 115, Block XII, Tokomairiro Survey District, to the point of commencement.
Thirdly, all that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, Tokomairiro Riding, containing 3 acres and 24 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 7055, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of that lot and Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 7055, to the northernmost corner of Lot 5, aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that Lot 5, D.P. 7055, and its production to the south-eastern side of the South Island Main Trunk railway; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of that railway to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 3, Milton Farm Settlement; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary to the westernmost corner of Section 3 aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that Section 3 to its northernmost corner; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7055, to the point of commencement.
The above areas are located on the east side of Burns and Johnson Streets, Helensbrook, and west of Milton Railway Station. A map of these areas may be inspected at the office.

MINING ACT 1926
APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER RACE
NOTICE is hereby given that Neil Joseph McCarthy, Leslie John Struthers, and Lola June Struthers, of Hawea Flat, farmers, will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at Cromwell, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the 9th day of August 1966, for a licence for a water race to divert one-quarter head of water from Reservoir Gully, Hawera Flat, by a water race commencing about five chains above its junction with Hospital Creek, and terminating at two points on applicants’ private land.
Objections must be filed in the office of the Mining Registrar, Cromwell, and notified to the applicants, whose address for service is at the office of Messrs Brodrick and Parcell, solicitors, 49 Melmore Street, Cromwell, at least three days before the above-mentioned time of hearing.
