Roads Excluded from Speed Limitation, and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 6th day of March 1963†, which relates to Three Mile Bush Road in Whangarei County is hereby revoked.

2. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 10th day of July 1957‡, which relates to Whangarei-Onerehi Road in Whangarei Borough is hereby revoked.

3. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

4. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei City:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from Murdoch Crescent to the southern boundary of Whangarei City).

Port Whangarei Road (from Limeburners Creek Bridge to a point 1 mile 56 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Limeburners Creek Bridge).

Riverside Road (from a point 1 chain measured south-easterly generally along the said road from Pohe Island Road to a point 2 chains measured north-westerly generally along Riverside Road from Montgomery Avenue).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Whangarei County adjacent to Whangarei City:

Three Mile Bush Road (from the western boundary of Whangarei City to a point 22 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from Lake Road).

Declaration Making the Mineral Diatomite a Qualifying Mineral for the Purposes of Section 152 of the Land and Income Tax Act 1954
