PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints the officer for the time being holding office as Scientist, Geological Survey, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Dunedin, to be a non-elective member for a period of three years of the Southland Catchment Board.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Orders in Council specified in the Schedule hereto, authorising the Taranaki Electric Power Board to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use electric lines, by further extending the duration of the said Orders in Council until the 16th day of January 1967, the duration of the said Orders in Council having been extended until the 16th day of July 1966 by the Order in Council dated the 14th day of July 1965 and published in the Gazette on the 22nd day of the same month at page 1164.

Alteration and Extension of Boundaries of Waitemata Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 9009)

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Waitemata Rabbit District Order 1966.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Waitemata Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 12th day of April 1951* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAITEMATA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area of approximately 147,400 acres in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Okura River, in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12038 in Block XV, Waiwera Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally to and along that eastern boundary, crossing a public road and along the eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12038 to the easternmost corner of that lot; thence across a public road to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 5, D.P. 12038 to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot and across a public road to and along the southern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 12038 and Lot 1, D.P. 52336, and along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 292, Pukeatua Parish to and along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 303 and the production of that boundary to the middle of a public road; thence along the middle of that road forming the generally western boundary of Allotment 305, part of the eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 55289, the eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 55289 and the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments M. 300 and S.W. 300, to and along the eastern boundary of Allotment 299, all the aforesaid allotments being of Pukeatua Parish, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the right bank of the stream forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 27, Paremoremo Parish; thence still southerly generally along that right bank to and along the right bank of the Lucas Creek, and westerly along the shores of the Waitemata Harbour to and up the middle of the Rangitopuni Stream to a point in the middle of that part of the said stream adjoining the western corner of Allotment 10, Paremoremo Parish in Block VI, Waitemata Survey District, in line with the north-western boundary of that allotment; thence to and along that boundary, to and along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 575 and 576, and along the southern and north-western boundaries of that part Allotment 165 taken for State forest by Proclamation published in N.Z. Gazette, 1930, page 3748, all the aforesaid allotments being of Paremoremo Parish, to and along the northern and western sides of a public road forming the northern boundary of Section 3, Block VI aforesaid and of part Allotment 69, Paremoremo Parish, the northern and western boundaries of Section 2, Block VI aforesaid, and the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 222, Paremoremo Parish, to the easternmost corner of Section 65H, Riverhead Homestead Settlement; thence along the generally eastern and southern boundaries of Section 65H, the southern boundary of Section 64H, the northern end of a public road, the southern boundary of Section 63H, the eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 66H and the southern boundary of Section 62H, crossing a public road, all the aforesaid sections being of the Riverhead Homestead Settlement, and along the southern boundary of that part Allotment 160, Paremoremo Parish, taken for State forest by Proclamation published in N.Z. Gazette, 1929, page 2415, the southern and western boundaries of part Allotment 48 to and along the southern boundaries of parts Allotments 88 and 80, the eastern and southern boundaries of part Allotment 64, and the southern and western boundaries of part Allotment 61, all the aforesaid allotments being of Paremoremo Parish and taken for State forest by Proclamation published in N.Z. Gazette, 1930, page 737, and along the southern boundary of Section 60H, Riverhead Homestead Settlement, to the eastern boundary of Lot 7, D. P. 19511; thence southerly along that eastern boundary and its production to the left bank of the Kumeu River; thence westerly generally along that left bank to and along the left bank of the Kaipara River to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 13290, and the production of that boundary across the North Auckland Railway to and still westerly along the generally northern side of State Highway No. 16 to and down the middle of the Waipatukahu Stream in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District to and down the middle of the Kaipara River to a point in the middle of that part of the said river adjoining the south-western corner of the Borough of Helensville as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1947, page 157, in line with the western part of the southern boundary of that borough; thence easterly to and along that southern boundary, and then northerly and westerly along the generally eastern and northern boundaries of the said borough, to and northerly along the right bank of the Kaipara River to and still northerly and then easterly and southerly generally along the boundary of the Waitemata County as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1957, page 1295, to the left bank of the Okura River in Block XVI, Waiwera Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along the said left bank to the point of commencement.
