THE WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Renewal Loan No. 2, 1966, £25,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waitaki Electric-power Board resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £25,000 to be known as Renewal Loan No. 2, 1966
authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming
part of the special loan known as Building Loan 1954, the said
Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes a special rate of
0·0256 pence (0·0256d.) in the pound (£) upon the capital
rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitaki Electric
Power District, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru
Borough, Hampden Borough, Waitaki County, and part Wai-
mate County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waitaki
Electric-power Board held on the 30th day of May 1966.

Mount Eden Borough District Scheme, Public Notification of
Proposed Change
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Mount Eden Borough Council made on 26 April 1966,
a change to the district scheme has been recommended for
approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
The change is detailed in the Schedule hereto.
This change has been deposited in the office of the Mount
Eden Borough Council, 64 Valley Road, Mount Eden, and is
open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested
therein at any time when the above place is open to the public.
Objections to the proposed change or any part thereof shall
be in writing in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960; and shall be
lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than
1 August 1966 (a suitable form for the use of objectors is
available from the Council offices).
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of
objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the
period of which public notice will be given.
SCHEDULE
Change No. 3: To rezone from Residential B to Commercial
C the properties 258 Dominion Road, 260 Dominion Road,
266 Dominion Road, 268/270 Dominion Road (part), 288A
Dominion Road, 288B Dominion Road, 120 Valley Road
(part), which together adjoin the existing Commercial C Zone
and have frontage to either Dominion Road or Valley Road.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF SCHEME
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand No. M. 20/66
Otago and Southland District
(Dunedin Registry)
IN the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter
of the Judicature Act 1908 and in the matter of a certain
Trust Deed bearing date the 2nd day of September 1907
relating to the Hocken Collection, notice is hereby given,
pursuant to section 54 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957,
that the Supreme Court at Dunedin has, on the 30th day
of May 1966, approved a scheme submitted by the University
of Otago under Part III of the said Act extending and varying
the powers of the university under the above-mentioned
Trust Deed relating to the Hocken Collection.

SPECIAL ORDER
Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 7, 1966, £196,000
THE Auckland Regional Authority in exercise of the powers
vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963,
section 42, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon
it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise
of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby
resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special
order to borrow the sum of £196,000 (one hundred and
ninety-six thousand pounds) as a special loan to be known
as Bulk Water Supply Loan No. 7, 1966; £196,000 for the
purpose of meeting costs and expenses of and incidental to,
the extension of the storage capacity of Khyber Reservoir,
by the construction of an additional unit (No. 4) at the
corner of Burleigh Street and Khyber Pass Road, Auckland
City, and the strengthening of the foundations to permit car
parking on the reservoir roof.
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Authority held
on 18 April 1966. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star
on 22 April 1966 and 6 May 1966 and was confirmed at the
ordinary meeting of the Authority held on 16 May 1966.
The Common Seal of the Auckland Regional Authority was
hereunto affixed this 16th day of May 1966

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
the City of Palmerston North taken on 28 May 1966, on the
proposal of the above-mentioned local authority to raise a
loan of £90,000, to be known as the Massey University Loan
1966 of £90,000, for the purpose of making a grant to the
Massey University of Manawatu for the erection of halls of
residence and facilities at the university, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .... 3,176
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ... 2,681
The number of informal votes was ....... 66
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
