The Kumeroa Cemetery Closing Order 1966

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Kumeroa Cemetery Closing Order 1966.
-
It is hereby directed that the Kumeroa Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, shall be closed and burials therein discontinued after the 30th day of November 1966.
-
As from the 30th day of November 1966 the control and management of the closed Kumeroa Cemetery shall vest in the Woodville County Council.

KUMEROA CEMETERY
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing 1 acre 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section 49, Block XIV, Tahoraiti Survey District.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensees, hereby revokes the Order in Council, dated the 5th day of September 1951, and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of September 1951, at page 1371, authorising Richard Arthur Condon and William Patrick Condon, both farmers, to erect and use certain electric lines in the County of Westland.

The Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1966

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
This order may be cited as the Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1966.
-
Expressions used in this order have the same meanings as in the Land and Income Tax Act 1954.
-
This order applies to:
(a) Land tax for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1966; and
(b) Income tax payable for that year of assessment on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1965 by—
(i) Every subsisting company otherwise than as trustee or agent:
(ii) Every public authority otherwise than as trustee or agent:
(iii) Every Maori authority.

Land tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of October 1966.

Income tax to which this order applies shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of February 1967.
-
Land tax and income tax to which this order applies shall be payable at any office of the Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

2nd Lieutenant Michael Whitmore Thornton, from 16th Field Regiment, RNZA, is granted a short-service commission for a term of three years in the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 21 April 1966.
