Marine and Maori Affairs Notices




  1. The licensees shall keep a separate bank account into
    which all dues and charges received in accordance with the
    Second Schedule hereto shall be paid. All dues and charges
    so received shall be applied by the licensees in keeping the
    ramp in good order, repair, and condition unless the Minister
    consents to the dues and charges or any portion thereof
    being applied to any other purpose. The licensees shall
    also keep a receipt book in which shall be entered all receipts
    of dues and charges and which shall be made available for
    inspection by any person appointed by the Minister for that
    purpose at any reasonable time.

SECOND SCHEDULE
DUES AND CHARGES
DUES and charges in respect of the use of the ramp shall be
charged and taken by the licensees according to the following
scale:

Wharfage
Cattle over nine months of age (each)
Cattle nine months of age and under (each)
Sheep (each)

Declaring an Area on Mataura River for the Operation of
Motor Launches and Water Skiers

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister
of Marine hereby declares that for a period of five years from
the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set
out in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of
the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to the
area of water described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water 300 yards long and 100 yards wide,
3 miles downstream from Gore at Beattie's Beach on the
Mataura River.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At the river's edge on both sides of the river at each
    end of the above described area there shall be placed notice
    boards measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted bright
    orange with black lettering.
  2. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following
    notice:
    "NOTICE
    Motor Launch Regulations 1962
    No speed restriction for motor launches and water
    skiers between these Notice Boards."

Vesting the Management of Part of a Wharf at Westhaven
Inlet in Peter Terry

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby vests in Peter Terry (hereinafter called the licensee,
which term shall include his administrators, executors, and
assigns unless the context requires a different construction)
the management of part of the Crown wharf at Westhaven
Inlet measuring 66 feet by 30 feet and shown on plan M.D.
12233 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at
Wellington, such vesting to be subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Conditions of Management hereto.

CONDITIONS OF MANAGEMENT

  1. The vesting of the said wharf is subject to the Foreshore
    Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those Regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The licensee is authorised to do the additional work
    shown on plan M.D. 12233 and such work shall be subject
    to section 14 of the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1950.
  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the
    15th day of May 1966.
  4. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds
    (£5) ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall
    be ten pounds (£10) ($20).

Te Teko A Amending Notice 1966, No. 1
WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule
hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953:
And whereas by reason of land taken for Railway purposes
the area of the land has changed, and the new area is now
shown in the Third Schedule, and it is considered necessary
to have the notice described in the First Schedule hereto
amended.
Now therefore pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs
Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as
follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be described as the Te Teko A Amending
    Notice 1966, No. 1.
  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
    hereby amended by omitting all references to the land
    described in the Second Schedule hereto.
  3. The land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs
    Act 1953.

    hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act
