Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Crookston Survey District, for Road and for the Purposes of a Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the improvement of State Highway No. 8, near Beaumont, and for that public work the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Beaumont and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
