presented to the said Court by Tuakau Sand Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Pukekohe; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 27th day of May 1966, at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND


IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective Amendments, notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work, namely, for an electric power sub-station in Brougham Street, in the City of Wellington, and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land which is required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours and that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land should if he has any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office, and notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of that objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing and at that hearing each objector will be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situated at 89 Brougham Street, in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement one and six-tenths perches (1·6 perches), more or less, being part of Section 323, Town of Wellington, being part of Lot 2, on Deposited Plan No. 374, and being the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 26484, and thereon coloured orange.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Drainage Redemption Loan 1966, of £13,800

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,800 known as the Drainage Redemption Loan 1966, of £13,800 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Drainage Loan 1958, £160,000 which matures on 1 June 1966, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·036 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of 3 February 1966, No. 5, at page 125; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of nineteen (19) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Wanganui City Council at a meeting of the council held on 9 May 1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Airport Improvements Redemption Loan 1966, £12,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £12,700 known as the Airport Improvements Redemption Loan 1966, of £12,700 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Airport Improvements Loan 1960, £50,000 which matures on 1 June 1966, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·040 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of 3 February 1966, No. 5, at page 125; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fourteen (14) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Wanganui City Council at a meeting of the Council held on 9 May 1966.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Redemption Loan No. 30, 1966, £59,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty-nine thousand pounds (£59,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 30, 1966, £59,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Acquisition of Properties Loan 1955, £150,000 which matures on 15 June 1966, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three thirty-fifths of one penny (³⁄₃₅ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CITY OF MANUKAU


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Land Purchase Loan No. 4, 1966, £100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing property within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought six four three pence (·0643d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
