harbour works, namely, for a water pipeline being part of a
water supply provided for Marsden Point; notice is hereby
further given that the said water pipeline easement will
vest in the Northland Harbour Board the full and free,
right, liberty, licence, and authority in perpetuity to lay,
construct, place, reconstruct, inspect, cleanse, repair, renew, and
maintain a line or lines of pipes under, along or over the said
land with the right for the Northland Harbour Board’s
servants, agents, workmen, licencees, and invitees to go, pass,
and repass with or without horses or other animals or
vehicles over the said land, and to use the said line or
lines of pipes for the unimpeded conveyance of water;
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land over
which the easement is required to be taken is deposited in
the public offices of the Northland Harbour Board, situated
in Quay Street, Whangarei and is open for inspection with-
out fee, by all persons during office hours; notice is hereby
further given that all persons affected by the taking of the
said easement if they have any objections (which are not
objections as to the amount or payment of compensation)
which they may wish to make to the taking of the said
easement must state their objections in writing and send
the same within 40 days from the first publication of this
notice, viz, the 13th day of May 1966, to the Secretary at
the offices of the Northland Harbour Board, Quay Street,
Whangarei, and if any such objections are made a public
hearing of any objection will be arranged by the Board
unless the objector requires otherwise, and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of hearing, and at any
such hearing the objector shall be advised of the reasons
for the proposed taking of the easement.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amend-
ments, notice is hereby given that the Palmerston North City
Council intends to take, under the provisions of the Public
Works Act 1928, the lands described in the Schedule hereto
for the purposes of an abattoir. A plan of the said lands is
deposited at the Public Office of the Palmerston North City
Council, The Square, Palmerston North, and is there open for
inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or by the
taking of the said lands are hereby required and called upon
to set forth in writing any objection to the execution of the
said public work or to the taking of the said lands (not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation)
and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk of the City
of Palmerston North.

SCHEDULE

TWENTY-ONE acres three roods seventeen perches (21 acs.
3 rds. 17 pchs.), being part Section 64, Town of Fitzherbert,
situate in Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District, as the same
is more particularly coloured orange on S.O. Plan 26503. The
above-described lands front Eyre Road, Fitzherbert West, at
its north-western end.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Municipal Buildings Redemption Loan 1966—£21,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount
Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of twenty-one thousand pounds (£21,000) authorised to
be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for repayment of £21,000 borrowed for
municipal buildings purposes, due and payable on the 1st day
of May 1966, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby
makes a special rate of decimal nought five nine pence in the
pound (·059d. in the £) upon the rateable value on the basis
of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the
Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the said special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the
said loan, and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of April
in each and every year during the currency of the said loan,
being for a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.”

Passed at a meeting of Council held on the 3rd day of May
1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Traffic Signals Redemption Loan 1966—£3,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount
Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a
loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500) authorised
to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act for repayment of £3,500 borrowed for
streets reconstruction purposes, due and payable on the 25th
day of May 1966, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nine
seven pence in the pound (·0097d. in the £) upon the rateable
property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that the said
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the said loan, and to be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of the
said loan, being for a period of ten (10) years or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

Passed at a meeting of Council held on the 3rd day of May
1966.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Cemeteries Loan 1966 of £35,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 2nd day of May 1966.

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000) to be known
as the Wellington City Cemeteries Loan 1966 of £35,000,
authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of developing the
Makara Lawn Cemetery, the Wellington City Council hereby
makes a special rate of sixteen one-thousandths of a penny
(·016d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the
whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each year, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

Wellington City Water Services Renewal Loan 1966 of £22,700

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Wellington City Council held on the 2nd day of May 1966.

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of twenty-two thousand seven hundred pounds (£22,700)
to be known as the Wellington City Water Services Renewal
Loan 1966 of £22,700, authorised to be raised by the Wellington
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Water
Services Loan 1949, £187,000, which matures on 1 July, 1966,
the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of
nine one-thousandths of a penny (·009d.) in the pound on
