"That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Nelson City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of
providing interest and other charges on a loan of £18,500
to be known as the Aged Persons Flats Loan No. 5, 1965
authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation
for elderly persons, the Nelson City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of .03854d. in the pound
on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value,
of all rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising
the whole of the said city; and such rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every

Nelson City Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of
providing interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000 to be
known as the Greenmeadows Development Loan 1966
authorised to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a pavilion
at Greenmeadows, the Nelson City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of .03035 pence in the pound upon the
rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all
the rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising the
whole of the said city; and such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and

Loan 1965, of £36,000 and the Port Development Loan 1966,
of £654,000) authorised to be raised by the Nelson Harbour
Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
constructing certain harbour works, the said Nelson Harbour
Board hereby makes a special rate of eleven-fortieths of a

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Bay of
Plenty Electric-power Board held on the 12th day of April
1966, the following resolution was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board hereby resolves as
follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of
Plenty Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical
energy for the benefit of the Bay of Plenty Electric-power
District and for such purposes to do all or any of such
matters and things which the board is empowered to do by
the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments,
and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the
said Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board hereby makes a
special rate of three-quarters of one penny (¾d.) in the pound
(£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
