TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROADS AND TO CLOSE ROADS
IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and its amendments
and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its
amendments, notice is hereby given that the Taumarunui
County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the
construction of roads and for the purpose of such work the
land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be
taken and the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto
are required to be closed; and notice is hereby further given
that the plans of the land required to be taken and of the
roads to be closed are deposited at the public office of the
said Council situated in Miriama Street, Taumarunui, and are
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
business hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said
land or the closing of the said roads if they have any
objections (which are not objections as to the amount or
payment of compensation) which they may wish to make to
the taking of the said land or the closing of the said roads
must state their objections in writing and send the same
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice on
the 7th day of April 1966, to the County Clerk at the Council
Chambers, and if any such objections are made a public
hearing of any objection will be arranged by the Council,
unless the objector requires otherwise, and each objector will
be advised of the time and place of the hearing, and at any
such hearing the objector shall be advised of the reasons for
the proposed taking of land or closing of roads with which
the objection is concerned.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the
Nelson City Council proposes, under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work,
namely, the widening of Nayland Road in the City of Nelson;
and for the purposes of such public work the lands described
in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said council, situated in Trafalgar Street, and is open
for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing, and send the same within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, at the Council
Chambers, Trafalgar Street, Nelson.

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waimea Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £7,200, known as Murchison Supplementary Loan
(No. 2) 1966, authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric
Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for completing
the purpose for which the Murchison Reticulation Loan No. 2,
1964, £72,000 was sanctioned, the said Waimea Electric
Power Board hereby makes a special rate of ·007d. (decimal
nought, nought, seven pence) in the £ upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property of the Waimea Electric Power District; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
