southern boundary of part Reserve 1715 (as described in
N.Z. Gazette, 1940, page 1785); thence easterly along that
boundary to the easternmost corner of that part Reserve;
thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of
that part Reserve and part Reserve 1701 for a distance of
12481 links; thence along a bearing of 116° for a distance of
10000 links; thence south-easterly along a right line to the
north-western corner of part Reserve 1228; thence south-
easterly along the south-western boundaries of that part
Reserve and Crown land and the south-western side of the
Ngahere Haupiri Junction Road to the point of com-
mencement, excluding therefrom a public road, and a gravel
reserve. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked 126/86 deposited in the Head Office of the
State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Provisional State Forest No. 1740

All that area of Crown land containing 228 acres more or
less, and all that area of national-endowment land containing
56 acres, more or less, situated in Block XI, Hohonu Survey
District, held under Warden’s grants Nos. 39/21 and 40/21,
and bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-western
corner of Section 2441 and proceeding along the southern
boundary of the said section, 3033·5 links, and that boundary
produced 3370 links to a point on the western boundary
of Section 857, 160 links north-west of Tube XI, thence
along the western boundary of the said Section 857 for
2001 links; thence on a bearing of 81° 39′ for 2760 links;
thence on a bearing of 171° 39′ for 1390 links; thence on a
bearing of 69° 12′ for 4916 links; thence on a bearing of
171° 39′ for 2450 links; thence on a bearing of 81° 39′ for
1194·5 links to a road reserve; and thence along the said
road reserve on a bearing of 24° 39′ for 3500 links to the
point of commencement. As the same is more particularly
delineated on plan No. 126/24, deposited in the Head Office
of the State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered
green.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I,
Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described
in the Schedule hereto, and comprised in a roadway laid out
by the Maori Land Court by order dated the 3rd day of
October 1958, to be road.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line
of a Motorway in the City of Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir
Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 24th
day of November 1950, published in Gazette, 30 November
1950, Volume III, at page 2032, and registered as No. 4272
Wellington Land Registry, defining the middle line of a
Motorway in the City of Wellington, in so far as it affects the
land described in the Schedule hereto.
