in the Borough of Blenheim and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk situated at Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state their objection in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at his office in Alfred Street, Blenheim. If any person shall so object then unless such persons shall otherwise require, a public hearing of the objection will be held and each objector will be notified of the time and place thereof.

SCHEDULE

Six perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Blenheim, more particularly shown coloured red on the Council Plan No. 5/146, being a 20 link strip on the eastern side of Seymour Street immediately to the south of George Street, and being more particularly described as part of the land in Deposited Plan No. 8049, and part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 1c, folio 157 (Marlborough Registry).

CITY OF MANUKAU


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Waterworks Reservoir and Reticulation Supplementary Loan 1966, £4,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,500 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Waterworks Reservoir and Reticulation No. 3 Loan 1964 was raised within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought three five pence (·0035d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Ronald Wood, Town Clerk of the Manukau City Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 10th day of March 1966.

CITY OF MANUKAU


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Sewerage Renewal Loan 1965, £4,540

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,540 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Manurewa Borough Council’s Sewerage Additional Loan 1959, £25,000 which matures on 10 March 1966 within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought three five three pence (·00353d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of this loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Pensioner Flats (Waipuna) Loan (No. 2) 1965, £14,385

IN accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the following resolution has been passed by special order by the Mount Wellington Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 21st day of March 1966.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fourteen thousand three hundred and eighty-five pounds (£14,385) to be known as the Pensioner Flats (Waipuna) Loan (No. 2) 1965, authorised to be raised by the Mount Wellington Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of construction of pensioner flats, the Mount Wellington Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0055d. in the £1 upon the Rateable value of the property in the Borough of Mount Wellington; and such special rate shall be an annual recurring charge during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the said loan for a period of thirty-five (35) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE


Normandale Sewerage (Supplementary) Loan No. 4, 1966, £3,600

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand six hundred pounds (£3,600), authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Normandale Sewerage Loan No. 3, £36,000 was sanctioned, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-seven thousandths of a penny (·047d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 28 March 1966.

BOROUGH OF MATAURA


TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953


Mataura District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for Mataura Borough was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 29th day of March 1966 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of April 1966.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
