Bay of Islands Development Scheme Amending Notice '1966, No. 2

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice described in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is now subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953:

Now therefore pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Bay of Islands Development Scheme Amending Notice 1966, No. 2.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Declaration as Subsidised Highway

NOTICE is hereby given that at its meeting held in Wellington on 16 March 1966 the National Roads Board resolved as follows:

“Pursuant to section 12A of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board hereby determines that the carriageway of the public highway described as Tongariro Power Scheme Access Roads Nos. 5 and 7 between No. 41 and No. 47 State Highways shall be a subsidised highway, and the Board further resolves that only the provisions of the National Roads Act empowering the Board to contribute to the cost of construction of the aforesaid carriageway shall apply to the carriageway”.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 28 April 1966. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
