RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES FOR THE FOLLOWING
WELLINGTON CITY LOANS WHICH WERE DULY PASSED AT A
MEETING OF THE WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL HELD ON THE
8TH DAY OF DECEMBER 1965
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
Reserves Loan 1965, of £75,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) to be known
as the Wellington City Reserves Loan 1965, of £75,000 autho-
rised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and
improving reserves and beaches, the Wellington City Council
hereby makes a special rate of twenty-one one-thousandths
of a penny (·021d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.”
Housing Loan (Strathmore Court) 1965, of £19,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of nineteen thousand pounds (£19,000) to be known
as the Wellington City Housing Loan (Strathmore Court)
1965, of £19,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of erecting public rental flats at Strathmore, the Wellington
City Council hereby makes a special rate of four one-
thousandths of a penny (·004d.) in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and
that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly
on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency
of the said loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”
Housing Development Loan 1965, of £100,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) to be
known as the Wellington City Housing Development Loan
1965, of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of developing land for housing on Watts Peninsula, the
Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of
twenty-four one-thousandths of a penny (·024d.) in the
pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the un-
improved value) of all rateable property within the whole
of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each
year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of
thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Civic Development Loan 1965, of £150,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£150,000) to
be known as the Wellington City Civic Development Loan
1965, of £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of purchasing properties in connection with development of
the Civic Centre, the Wellington City Council hereby makes
a special rate of thirty-six one-thousandths of a penny (·036d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole
of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in
each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period
of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Street Widening Loan 1965, of £100,000
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) to be
known as the Wellington City Street Widening Loan 1965, of
£100,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
purchasing property required for street widening, the Welling-
ton City Council hereby makes a special rate of forty-four
one-thousandths of a penny (·044d.) in the pound on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington;
and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the
currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

of Islands County Operative District Scheme on review has
been extended from 18 January 1966 to 17 February 1966.

Papatoetoe District Scheme—Proposed Change
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to resolution of
council on 14 December 1965, the council has recommended
that the Operative District Scheme be changed in respect of
the matters listed in the Schedule hereto. The change has been
deposited in the offices of the city council, St. George Street,
Papatoetoe, and is there open for inspection, without fee, at
any time when the office is open to the public.
Objections to the proposed changes may be made by way of
written notice marked, “objection to scheme change” and
lodged at the office of council at any time not later than
the 16th day of March 1966, on the appropriate form for use
of objections available from the council office.
At a later date objections will be open for public inspection.
Any person who wishes to support, or oppose, any objection
will then be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections,
if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of
which public notice will be given.
SCHEDULE
MAP AMENDMENT No. 10
ALL that piece of land situated at Great South Road in the
City of Papatoetoe described as containing 2 roods 30·4
perches, more or less, being Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17,
and 18, D.P. 26692 of Allotment 38, Manurewa Parish, be
changed from Residential “A” zone to Commercial “B” zone,
but subject to the land coloured yellow on Plan Ref. No.
64/7 being reserved for off-street car parking and the land
coloured blue on Plan Ref. No. 64/7 being reserved for service
access.
