Closely Populated Locality and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the 15th day of August 1960†, which relates to Okaihau in Bay of Islands County is hereby revoked.

2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Okaihau:

Horeke Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 34 chains measured south-westerly generally along Horeke Road from the said highway).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Okaihau:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 13 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Station Road to a point 3 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from Horeke Road).

Station Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 3 chains measured south-easterly generally along Station Road from the said highway).

Exclusion from Speed Limitation Revoked

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 23rd day of August 1940,* which relates to the portion of the Great South Road in Papakura Borough described in the Schedule hereto.

Reservation of Land and Declaration That Land be Part of the Waiheke Domain

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act, to form part of the Waiheke Domain to be administered as a public domain by the domain board.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of County of Whangarei and City of Whangarei

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the County of Whangarei and included in the City of Whangarei. All persons affected who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against, the proposed alteration with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, within one month from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing approximately 172 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 46220, in Block XVI, Purua Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly along the south-western boundary of that lot to the middle of the Raumanga Stream; thence northerly, easterly, and then south-westerly generally along the boundary of the Whangarei City as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1965, page 1010, to the point of commencement.

Land Proclaimed as Road, Road Closed, and Land Taken in Block XVI, Maungakawa Survey District and Block XII, Wairere Survey District, Piako County
