PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £66,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land for housing purposes within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five six pence (·056d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Water Supply Improvement Renewal Loan 1966, £7,900

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papakura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,900 authorised to be raised by the Papakura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Water Supply Improvement Loan 1952, which matures on 1 March 1966, the said Papakura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point nought six three three pence in the pound (·0633d. in the £) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Papakura, comprising the whole of the Borough of Papakura; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Flats Loan 1965, £23,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £23,000 (twenty three thousand pounds) to be known as the Pensioner Flats Loan 1965, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting accommodation for aged persons, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1 pence (one tenth pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value, based on the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate in each and every year during the currency of the said loan until the loan is fully paid off."

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 to be known as Renewal Loan No. 1, 1966 authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming part of the special loan known as Extension Loan 1955, the said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0·0132d. in the £ upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitaki Electric Power District, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru Borough, Hampden Borough, Waitaki County, and part Waimate County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waitaki Electric-power Board held on the 28th day of February 1966.

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on Rural Housing Loan 1965, £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Tauranga County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two seven six pence (·276d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Tauranga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
