RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Riverton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,450 authorised to be raised by the Riverton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the repayment of the Municipal Buildings Loan 1953, the Riverton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nine pence (0·9d.) in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Riverton Borough comprising the whole of the Borough of Riverton; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for financing the council’s share of the cost of constructing pensioners cottages at Sockburn, the said Paparua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·009495d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Paparua County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Fire Station Additional Loan 1964, £2,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the additional cost of erecting a new Fire Station in Waipawa, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four nine two pence (0·1492d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipawa; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 24th day of September and the 24th day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments, notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a road passing through or adjoining the parcels of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated in South Head Road (in the main adjoining Otakanini Topu Block), in Mairetahi Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the clerk of the said council situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any objections to the proposal, not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and wishing them to be considered must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, the formation of a street off Barnes Street in the City of Timaru and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said council, situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objection in writing, and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, King George’s Place, Timaru.
