PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
O R D E R
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Waitomo County
Rabbit District Order 1965.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The Waitomo County Rabbit District, which was consti-
tuted pursuant to section 13A of the Rabbits Act 1955, is
hereby abolished, and the said district is hereby added to the
Te Kuiti Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in
Council on the 28th day of January 1942.*

ORDER IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.
O R D E R
-
This order may be cited as the Wellington Savings Bank
Order 1964, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together
with and deemed part of the Wellington Savings Bank Order
1964* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order). -
The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause
11, and substituting the following clause:
“11. Investments—(1) Notwithstanding anything in section 24
of the Act, but subject to subsections (4A) and (5) thereof
and to subclause (2) of this clause, the Bank may invest any
money deposited in or belonging to the Bank in the following
manner only:
“(a) Where the total amount of such money (excluding
money deposited in investment accounts) does not
exceed £1,000,000, not less than 90 per cent thereof
shall be invested in New Zealand Government
securities:
“(b) Where the total amount of such last-described money
exceeds £1,000,000, not less than £900,000 thereof
together with not less than 50 per cent of so much
thereof as exceeds £1,000,000 shall be invested in
New Zealand Government securities:
“(c) Any amount not so invested in New Zealand Govern-
ment securities (excluding the amount required by
section 24 (3) of the Act to be kept immediately
available) may be invested in any of the ways
specified in section 24 (1) of the Act.
“(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (5) of
section 24 of the Act, money invested under paragraph (c)
of subclause (1) of this clause on mortgages of estates or
interests in land occupied or to be occupied by officers of
the bank for residential purposes shall be invested on such
terms and conditions as the Minister may approve in writing.”

Exempting Land in the South Auckland Land District from
the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the South Auckland Land District
containing 2 roods and 9 perches, more or less, being Lot 1,
on Deposited Plan S. 9833, and being part of the land in
certificate of title, Volume 1c, folio 1377 (South Auckland
Registry). Excepting thereout all seams and beds of coal,
fireclay, and other minerals beneath the said land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 24th day of November 1965.

the appointment of Principal Matron M. W. Wilson, R.R.C.,

Sister to The Queen, vice Principal Matron C. McDonald,
R.R.C., recently transferred to the Reserve of Officers.
