DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and to each and every power it thereunto enabling, the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Dargaville hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,000, described as Housing Loan No. 2 and authorised to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a house and making improvements to the property, the said body corporate hereby makes a special rate of decimal one two three of a penny (0·123d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville on the basis of the unimproved value, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 1, 1965, of £92,100
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 1st day of February 1965:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ninety-two thousand one hundred pounds (£92,100) to be known as the Wellington City Renewal Loan No. 1, 1965, of £92,100 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Aerodrome Development Loan No. 2, 1955, £100,000; Transport Loan 1955, £944,000; and the Aerodrome Development Loan No. 7, 1958, £167,680, which mature on 1 April and 1 May 1965, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of fifty-one one-thousandths of a penny (0·051d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal two pence (0·2d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the County of Otamatea; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

This resolution was passed at a meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Wednesday, 16 December 1964.

Pensioners’ Cottages (Bowen Street) Loan 1964, £58,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £58,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·016809d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Water Supply Redemption Loan 1965 of £72,100
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £72,100 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying amounts outstanding on the Water Supply Loan 1954, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·033314d. (pence) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area comprising the whole of the Avonhead, Belfast, Fendalton, Harewood, Papanui, Middleton, and Wairarapa Ridings of the Waimairi County; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
———
IN the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Ashburton Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, to erect a library; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk of the said council, situate in Havelock Street, Ashburton, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons, during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Havelock Street, Ashburton.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of parcel of land required to be taken: One (1) rood, being Town Section 209, Borough of Ashburton, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 403, folio 1, Canterbury Registry.

Situate: 82 Havelock Street in the Borough of Ashburton.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLlC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the land described in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the land required to be taken lies open to public inspection at the office of the council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objections they may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objections to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
