that the Northland Harbour Board confirms its intention,
notice of which has already been given as set out below,
subject to the provisions of the said Act, of executing the
work and taking the following land and every interest therein:

dated 11 December 1964, which notice was published in
the Gazette on the 17th day of December 1964.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment and
widening of a public road, and for the purpose of such public
work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the
said council, situated at the Strand, Whakatane, and is open
for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or by the taking of the said land (not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation)
must state their objections in writing and send the same,
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to
the clerk of the said council at the said office. If any objec-
tion is made by any affected person, a public hearing of the
objection will be held unless the objector requires otherwise,
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of
the hearing.

SCHEDULE

2 acres 32·5 perches, more or less, being part Allotment
31 P 3 E Rangitaiki Parish, Block VIII, Whakatane Survey
District and being part of the land comprised in certificate
of title, Volume 163, folio 6 Provisional Registry South
Auckland Land District, as more particularly shown coloured
yellow and edged yellow on Plan No. S.O. 42421.

The above land is situated on the Taneatua-Awakeri Road
near Pekatahi.

be taken is deposited in the public office of the Winton
Borough Council, Winton, and is open for inspection without

affected by the taking of the said land who have any
objections thereto must state their objections in writing and
