The Geraldine High School Board of Governors Order 1965

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 10th day of
November 1965
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Education Act 1964, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Geraldine High School
Board of Governors Order 1965. - On and after the 1st day of June 1966 the Canterbury
Education Board shall cease to exercise control over Geraldine
High School, and the sole control thereof shall be vested in a
Board of Governors constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Canterbury Education
Board;
(b) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils
attending the school;
(c) Two members elected by the school committees of the
Arundel Public School, the Geraldine Public School,
the Hilton Public School, the Orari Public School,
the Orari Bridge Public School, the Pleasant Valley
Public School, the Peel Forest Public School, the
Rangitata Station Public School, the Te Moana Public
School, the Tripp Public School, and the Woodbury
Public School;
(d) One member appointed by the Old Pupils' Association
of the school;
(e) One member appointed jointly by the Geraldine Borough
Council and the Geraldine County Council. - The Minister of Education may from time to time, by
notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which
paragraph (c) of clause 2 of this order applies.

Chairman of State Services Commission Appointed
PURSUANT to section 3 of the State Services Act 1962, His
Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Leonard Allan Atkinson, Esquire, of Wellington
to be a member and the Chairman of the State Services
Commission for a term of one year commencing on the
1st day of January 1966.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the State Services Act 1962, His
Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Adrian George Rodda, Esquire, of Wellington, and
Robert Martin Williams, Esquire, of Wellington
to be members of the State Services Commission for a term
of five years commencing on the 1st day of January 1966.

Chairman of the Tobacco Board Appointed
PURSUANT to the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1935, His
Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Henry Leslie Wise, Esquire, of Wellington
to be Chairman of the Tobacco Board for a period of three
(3) years commencing on the 25th day of October 1965.

Thomas Allen Ross, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate of the Magistrate's Court, Dunedin, and
Harold James Evans, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate of the Magistrate's Court, Christchurch, and
John Dudley Kinder, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate of the Magistrate's Court, Timaru
to be Justices of the Peace for New Zealand.
