Allocating Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Chertsey to Road Purposes

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Ashburton County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as the other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Revoking a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Stewarts Gully Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation, dated the 17th day of February 1951, published in Gazette, 22 February 1951, Volume I, page 218, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 336586, defining the middle line of a portion of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Stewarts Gully Deviation).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of November 1965.

Altering the Boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei, Egmont, and King Country Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei, Egmont, and King Country Electric Power Districts by excluding the areas described in the First and Second Schedules hereto from the Egmont and King Country Electric Power Districts respectively and by including those areas in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District; and further, I hereby declare that the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei, Egmont, and King Country Electric Power Districts shall be those described in the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington and Taranaki Land Districts situated in the Patea and Waitotara Counties to the east of a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Whenua-kura River in line with the northern boundary of Section 3, Block XV, Opaku Survey District; thence northerly along the middle of the said river to a point in line with the northern side of the Rotorangi Road; thence northerly to the most western corner of Section 2, Block III, Opaku Survey District, as the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 663 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western side of the No. 1 State Highway and a right line between Trig. Stations Ruapehu and 28 (Manukaiapu), being a point on the boundary of the Waimarino County as described in the Gazette, 1953, page 536, and being a point on the existing Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-power District boundary, as described in the Gazette, 16 June 1955, No. 40, page 963, and proceeding southerly along that side to its intersection by a right line between Trig. Station A (Totem), in Block X, Moawhango Survey District, and Trig. Station Tunutara, in Block XII, Karioi Survey District; thence westerly along that right line to the western boundary of the Moawhango Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to the north-western corner of Block 1, Moawhango Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundary of the Kaimanawa Survey District to its intersection with the right line between Trig. Station Ruapehu and Trig. Station 28 (Manukaiapu), being a point on the boundary of the Waimarino County aforesaid; thence easterly along that right line to the point of commencement, being a point
