Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 1st day of November 1965.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that portion of stopped Government road containing 1 rood 10 perches situated in Block VII, Otanake Survey District, adjoining or passing through Lot F.F., D.P. 7219, being part Maraetaua No. 10 Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 108017 (S.O. 30684), deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Assent to Agreement for Grant of Right of Way in Favour of John Trevor Cooke and Gwyneth Edith May Cooke Over Land in the City of Hamilton Taken for a Post Office
———
WHEREAS, by an agreement dated the 28th day of August 1961, John Trevor Cooke, of Hamilton, motor engineer, and Gwyneth Edith May Cooke, his wife, agreed to Her Majesty the Queen taking an easement of right of way over part of Lots 1, 2, 4, and 5, D.P. 12989, being part Allotments 218 and 219, Parish of Kirikiriroa:
And whereas the said John Trevor Cooke and Gwyneth Edith May Cooke are entitled to compensation for the taking of the said easement:
And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said John Trevor Cooke and Gwyneth Edith May Cooke an easement of right of way over part Lot 1, D.P. 12989, being part Allotment 218, Parish of Kirikiriroa, taken for a post office by a Proclamation published in Gazette, 19 March 1959, Volume I, page 336, in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:
And whereas the said John Trevor Cooke and Gwyneth Edith May Cooke have agreed to accept such grant of easement in full satisfaction of the said compensation:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.
