BOUNDARIES OF CITY OF HAMILTON

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, containing 13,726 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waikato River in line with the eastern side of Pukete Road, in Block IX, Komakorau Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly up the middle of that river to and up the middle of the Kirikiriroa Stream to a point due north of the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 13544; thence due south to the aforesaid corner; thence south-easterly generally along the northern boundaries of the said Lot 2, the western and southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 8603, to and along the eastern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 12521, to the northern side of Crosby Road, along a right line across the said road to the westernmost corner of part Lot 5, D.P. 12521, north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Crosby Road to a point 225 links distant from and measured at right angles to the northern side of a public road connecting Crosby Road with Tramway Road, along a series of right lines parallel to the northern side of the said public road and the northern side of Carrs Road to a point in line with the eastern end of the said road; thence southerly along a right line, to and along the said eastern end of Carrs Road, crossing Lot 1, D.P. 12771, to and along the eastern boundaries of Lot 4 and Lot 5, a right line crossing part Lot 2, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, all the said lots being of D.P. 12771, to the northern side of Alderson Road, easterly along that roadside and northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of Lot 29, D.P. 16401, along the northern and eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 24745, to and easterly along the northern side of Powells Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 7, D.P. S. 5308, southerly along a right line across the said road to and along the said eastern boundary and westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 of the said D.P. S. 5308, and the southern boundaries of Lots 36 and 35, D.P. 16401 to a point 300 links distant from and measured at right angles to the eastern side of Tramway Road; thence southerly along a series of right lines parallel to the said road and Bisley Road, and that right line produced to the southern side of the Thames Branch Railway, westerly along that southern side to a point in line with the western boundary of part Allotment 304, as shown on S.O. Plan 32792, and southerly along a right line crossing another part Allotment 304, to and along the said western boundary and the western boundary of part Allotments 304 and 223A shown on S.O. Plan 32394 (Water Power Development New Zealand Gazette, 1946, page 4), a right line crossing part Allotment 223A, (Agricultural College and Model Farm New Zealand Statutes 1901, page 276), to and along the western boundary of another part Allotment 223A, shown on S.O. Plan 32394, and that last-named boundary produced to the middle of State Farm Road; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of that road, Hillcrest Road, and Silverdale Road, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment 247A; thence north-easterly along a right line to and along the north-western and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said allotment, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 247 and 248, all the aforesaid allotments being of Kirikiriroa Parish, to the middle of a tributary stream of the Mangaonua Stream shown on N.Z.M.S. 1, Sheet 65 (grid reference 840470); thence generally southerly down the middle of that tributary and the middle of the Mangaonua Stream to the middle of National State Highway No. 1 (Cambridge Road); thence generally westerly along the middle of the said highway to a point due north of the westernmost corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 14541 (Gravel Reserve, New Zealand Gazette, 1934, page 3560); thence due south to the said corner, and that last-mentioned line produced to the middle of Riverlea Road, south-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 16, D.P. S. 4170, and south-westerly along a right line to and along the said boundary to and generally south-easterly and south-westerly along the generally north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of part Lot 11, D.P. 14466, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 418, Kirikiriroa Parish; thence easterly along a right line across part Lot 12, D.P. 14466, to and along the said northern boundary and that last-mentioned boundary produced across Riverlea Road to its eastern side; thence generally northerly along the said eastern side to and easterly along the northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. S. 4461, to and easterly along the southern side of National State Highway No. 1 to the middle of the Mangaonua Stream; thence generally westerly down the middle of the said stream, to and down the middle of the Waikato River to and up the middle of the Mangakotukutuku Stream to the intersection of the north-eastern side of Peacocks Road, in Block II, Hamilton Survey District; thence south-easterly along the said roadside to a point 225 links from and measured north-westerly at right angles to the north-western side of that portion of Peacocks Road forming the south-eastern boundary of part Allotment 56, Te Rapa Parish, contained in C.T. 774/5; thence north-easterly along a right line parallel to the said roadside to and southerly along the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 34164, to the north-western side of the said road; thence along a right line across the said road to the northernmost corner of part Allotment 75, Te Rapa Parish, as shown on D.P. 27372; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said part Allotment 75, along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 21, D.P.

S. 3743, the southern boundaries of Lots 20 and 19 of the last-mentioned plan to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 19, along a right line across part of Lot 1, D.P. 35271, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4, D.P. S. 3743, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 4, along a right line across part of Lot 1, D.P. 35271, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 3, 2 and 1, D.P. S. 3743, along the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 35271, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of part Allotment 44, Te Rapa Parish, along a right line across Lot 2, D.P. 35271, Lot 1, D.P. S. 72, part of Allotments 57 and 55 and Allotment 412, all of Te Rapa Parish, to and along the north-western and south-western boundaries of the aforesaid part Allotment 44, to the north-western side of Dixon Road; thence generally south-westerly along the said north-western side to the middle of National State Highway No. 3 (Ohaupo Road), along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. S. 6788, along a right line, to and along the last-mentioned boundary to its western end, along a right line across part of Allotment 61, Te Rapa Parish, to the easternmost corner of Lot 47, D.P. S. 7573, along the eastern boundaries of Lots 47, 46, 45, 44, 42, 41, 35, and 34, the southern boundaries of the said Lot 34 and Lot 32, to and along the eastern boundaries of Lots 31 and 30, the southern boundary of the said Lot 30, to and along the eastern end of a public road, to and along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Lot 29 and along the southern boundaries of Lots 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, and 23, all the aforesaid lots being of D.P. S. 7573, along the southern boundary of Lot 19, D.P. S. 3072, to the eastern side of Houchens Road, and along a right line crossing the said road to the southernmost corner of Lot 27, D.P. S. 5480; thence north-westerly generally along the southern and western boundaries of the said Lot 27, the western boundaries of Lots 26, 25, 24, 23, and 22, the western and northern boundaries of Lots 21 and 20, the western boundary of Lot 19, the southern and western boundaries of Lot 29 (Road Reserve), to the westernmost corner of that lot, all the aforesaid lots being D.P. S. 5480, along a right line across part Lot 2 and Lot 1, D.P. 15967, to the easternmost corner of part Lot 5, D.P. 6673, along the northern boundary of that lot to the easternmost corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 35285, and along the southern and western boundaries of the said part Lot 1 to a point 225 links distant from and measured southerly at right angles to the southern side of Saxby Road; thence westerly along a series of right lines parallel to the said southern roadside, to and along the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 25668, and that last-named boundary produced to the northern side of that road, and along that northern roadside to the southernmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. S. 7385; thence northerly along the western boundaries of the said Lot 3, along that last-named boundary produced to the northern side of Collins Road, and westerly along that roadside to the eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway; thence generally north-westerly along that said eastern side to a point in line with the southern boundary of part Allotment 365, Te Rapa Parish, as shown on D.P. 16548, along a right line across the said railway, to and along the aforesaid boundary, the southern end of Higgins Road, the southern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. S. 6052, part Allotment 364, Te Rapa Parish, as shown on D.P. 14608 to the southernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 12056, along a right line across Lot 1, D.P. 13477, to the eastern end of the northernmost boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 13477, along the said boundary to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 5214, along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Lot 2, the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 4, the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 5, 6, and 7, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 7, all the aforesaid lots being of D.P. S. 5214, along a right line across part Lot 2, D.P. 13477, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, along the south-western boundary of the last-named lot, all the said lots being of D.P. S. 5214, to the south-eastern side of the Frankton Pirongia Road (Tuhikaramea Road), and north-easterly along that roadside to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 22674; thence north-westerly along a right line across the said road to and along the last-mentioned boundary to the northernmost corner of the aforesaid Lot 1, along the north-western boundary of that lot to a point 225 links distant from and measured south-westerly at right angles to the south-western side of Gibson Road, along a series of right lines parallel to the south-western and southern sides of that road, to and along the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 28429, to the southern side of Gibson Road, north-westerly along a right line across the said road to the southernmost corner of Allotment 20, Te Rapa Parish, and south-westerly along a right line across Newcastle Road to and south-westerly along the north-western side of Gibson Road to a point 225 links distant from and measured westerly at right angles to the western side of Newcastle Road; thence northerly along a series of right lines parallel to the said western roadside, across Provincial State Highway No. 23 (Whatawhata Road), to and westerly, northerly, and easterly along the southern, western, and northern boundaries of parts Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 16666 (Post and Telegraph purposes, New Zealand Gazette, 1957, page 1245), to and northerly along the western boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. S. 4180, a right line across part Lot 3, D.P. 16666, to and along the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S.
