Declaring Land and an Easement Over Land Taken for Waterworks Purposes in the City of Christchurch

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for waterworks purposes and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and also declares that an easement for waterworks purposes is hereby taken over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch the full free and uninterrupted right, liberty, and privilege at all times by night as well as by day for its agents, officers, servants, workmen, invitees, and licensees in common with the owners for the time being of the said land and any other person lawfully entitled to do so to go, pass, and repass with or without vehicles, motor vehicles, machinery, implements, and equipment of any kind over and along the said land, such easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the said First Schedule hereto, from and after the 8th day of February 1965.
