O R D E R

  1. This order may be cited as the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Inc.) Tauranga Branch Order 1965.

  2. Exemption is hereby granted to the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Inc.) Tauranga Branch, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, in respect of the sheltered workshop at 51 Third Avenue, Tauranga, from:

(a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.

The age for retirement of Squadron Leader Peter Lindly Dick Cummins (70095) is extended until 13 August 1969.

Appointment

Special Duties Division

Gordon Cleaver Day (134319) is granted a commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special Duties Division), Territorial Air Force, for a period ending 31 March 1969 to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with seniority and effect from 1 April 1964.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Appointments

The under-mentioned are granted commissions in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer for a period ending 27 August 1969, with seniority and effect from 28 August 1965:

Rev. Anthony Peter William Wilson.

Promotion

Flying Officer John Scott Dennison, M.A., B.SC., DIP.ED., to be Flight Lieutenant, with effect from 1 September 1965.

Retirement

Flight Lieutenant John Browning is retired, with effect from 24 September 1965.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Transfer

Flight Lieutenant Jack Faulkner Horne (80042) is transferred from the Education Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period ending 26 October 1969, with effect from 27 October 1965.

Transfer to Retired List

Squadron Leader Tuan Grainger Emery, E.D., M.A., PH.D. (78103), is transferred to the Retired List “B”, with effect from 27 May 1965.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to appoint
