THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
No. 59
(a) May by bylaw do anything which a Harbour Board
may do by bylaw under section 232 of the Act;
(b) May appoint harbourmasters and or officers and define
or limit their powers or duties;
(c) Shall have all the powers, functions, duties, and autho-
rities of a Harbour Board under the Act as if it
were constituted a Harbour Board;
(d) May expend money out of its general fund or account
for the purpose of exercising and performing the
control, power, functions, duties, and authorities
conferred by this Order in Council.

Bylaws made by the Council under the authority of this
Order in Council shall not come into force until they have
been approved by the Minister, by notice in the Gazette. -
The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by or under
this Order in Council shall be in force for 21 years from the
day following the date of its notification in the Gazette, unless
in the meantime such rights, powers, and privileges shall be
altered, modified, or revoked by competent authority. -
The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any
time resumed by the Governor-General, without payment of
any compensation whatever, on giving to the Council six
calendar months’ notice in writing. Any such notice shall be
sufficient if given by the Minister and delivered at or posted
to the last known address of the Council in New Zealand.

Authorising the Northland Harbour Board to Reclaim Vested Land in Whangarei Harbour

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
October 1965
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the
Northland Harbour Board to reclaim from the Whangarei
Harbour that area, being an area of less than 5 acres in
extent, that lies in part Lot L of Section 3 and coloured blue
on plan M.D. 12086 deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington, being part of the land described
in paragraph 11 of the Second Schedule of Whangarei Fore-
shore Vesting Act 1913.

Authorising the Auckland Harbour Board to Reclaim Land in Waitemata Harbour

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
October 1965
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim from the Waitemata
Harbour 4 acres 3 roods 36 perches of land, more or less,
as shown edged red on plan marked M.D. 12148 and deposited
in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae
for the common use and benefit of the Waiariki subtribe of
Ngatiwai and the Maori people of the Ngunguru district.
