RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 27, 1965, £35,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 27, 1965, £35,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Avondale (Block 76) Housing and Reserve Loan 1954, £130,600, and the General Purposes Loan 1956, £284,000, which mature on 1 October 1965, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two thirty-ninths of one penny (²⁄₃₉ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1965, £8,100

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Blenheim Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand one hundred pounds (£8,100) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for old people, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty two one-thousandths of a penny (0·032d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 22nd day of September 1965.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Loan 1965 of £200,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the city water supply, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1885d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 20 September 1965.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 8, 1965, £50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·07417 in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Waipa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on Monday, 20 September 1965.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL

Municipal Abattoir Loan 1965

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand and thirty pounds (£25,030) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the municipal abattoir, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of eighty four-hundredths of a penny (⁸⁰⁄₄₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Levin Borough Council at a meeting held on Tuesday, 28 September 1965.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

Fire Station Loan 1965, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, payment of interest, and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council pursuant to the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building a fire brigade station and the provision of ancillary services in Kaikoura, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-five thousandths of a penny in the pound (0·035) on the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all the rateable property in the County of Kaikoura; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan has been fully paid off.”
