NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, notice is hereby given that the Tawa Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely street, and for the purpose of the said public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Tawa Borough Council at 130 Main Road, Tawa, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that every person affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation), set forth the same in writing and send such written objection, within 40 days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the Tawa Borough Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Purposes Renewal Loan 1965, £5,900

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Havelock North Borough Council did, at a meeting held on the 21st day of September 1965, resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,900 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the General Purposes Loan 1955, £40,000, which matures on the 1st day of October 1965, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·119d. (pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Waterworks Renewal Loan 1965, £20,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Havelock North Borough Council did, at a meeting held on the 21st day of September 1965, resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing main water supply pipes and hydrants, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·2d. (pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 24, 1965, £88,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-eight thousand pounds (£88,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 24, 1965, £88,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Works Loan 1957, £700,000, which matures on 15 April 1965, 1 February 1966, and 1 March 1966, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six thirty-fifths of one penny (⁶⁄₃₅ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
