as above mentioned.

Act 1948, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed
the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Survey District, described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 30 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrow-
clough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a road
desired to be constructed in Block VIII, Drury Survey Dis-
trict, viz, a portion of the Runciman-Tuakau State Highway
No. 22, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule
hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect
only the land situated within the limits shown coloured red
on the plan marked M.O.W. 19692 referred to in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
COMMENCING at a point on the true left bank of the Maketu
Stream, which point bears 346Β° for a distance of 85 links from
iron tube V as shown on Survey Office Plan No. 44471, pro-
ceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a
distance of approximately 85 chains, passing in, into, through,
or over the following roads, reserves, ways, lands, etc., viz:
Great South Road; part Lot 47, Section 7, D.R.O. 35 (C.T.
2030/45); Dawson Street; parts Lots 46, 45, 44, Lots 42 and
43, Section 7, D.R.O. 35 (C.T. 1958/43); Old Great South
Road; Pitt Street, Lots 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 17, and 16,
Section 8, D.R.O. 35 (C.T. 2038/68); Victoria Crescent; Vic-
toria Street; Lots 9, 10, and 11, Section 8, D.R.O. 35 (C.T.
768/178); Mercer Street; Lots 4, 3, and 2, Section 9, D.R.O.
35 (C.T. 899/197); Lots 13, 14, and 15, Section 9, D.R.O.
35 (C.T. 1582/24); Swift Street; Lot 3, Section 10, D.R.O. 35
(C.T. 768/181); Ngakoura Creek; part Allotment 36, Parish
of Opaheke (C.T. 707/170); Runciman-Tuakau State High-
way No. 22; and terminating at a point on the said Runciman-
Tuakau State Highway No. 22 which point bears 342Β° 42' for
a distance of 75 links to the south-east corner of Lot 1, D.P.
12364, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands,
reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses; as the
same is delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19692 deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of
September 1965
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1961,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
-
On and from the 1st day of April 1966 the area described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County
of Rotorua and included in the City of Rotorua. -
The alteration of the boundaries of the said city and
county hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been
effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Rotorua
County, containing 33 acres, more or less, bounded by a line
commencing at the intersection of the left bank of the
Puarenga Stream with the southern side of State Highway
No. 30, in Block 1, Tarawera Survey District; and proceeding
westerly along the southern side, across Sala Street, to and
south-westerly up the middle of the Awa Awaroa (Alum)
Stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of
part Section 26A, Suburbs of Rotorua, as shown on D.P.
25689 in the aforesaid Block 1; thence to and along the
south-western and southern boundaries of the said part
Section 26A; again crossing the intervening Sala Street, and
along the southern boundary of another part Section 26A,
aforesaid, to and south-westerly along the north-western
boundary of part Section 5, Block 1, aforesaid, and its pro-
duction south-westerly across Sala Street, to and along the
north-western and southern boundaries of Section 14, Block 1,
aforesaid, to and southerly along the eastern boundary of Lot
1, D.P. S. 9493, and its production southerly to the northern
boundary of part Section 5A Block 1, aforesaid; thence easterly
along that northern boundary produced, again crossing Sala
Street, to and along the northern boundary of another part
Section 5A to the left bank of the Puarenga Stream; thence
north-easterly along that left bank to the point of commence-
ment.
