NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Acts amending the same and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Acts amending the same, notice is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Rangiora, a body corporate, constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to take, in the manner provided by the Public Works Act 1928, for “the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a street” within the Borough of Rangiora, the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk of Rangiora aforesaid, where it lies open for public inspection daily, without fee, during all reasonable hours; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any objections (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objections and send such writing, within 40 days from the 13th day of September 1965 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), to the Rangiora Borough Council addressed to “The Town Clerk, Rangiora”.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land situate in the Borough of Rangiora containing by admeasurement 2 roods 6 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 226A and being the land recorded in Deeds Register C226A (Canterbury Deeds Register), which said land lies to the south of the intersection of Murray Street and George Street in the Borough of Rangiora, having a width of approximately 50 links and extending south to a depth of 1071 links and forming a prolongation of Murray Street, and being more particularly shown coloured blue on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch and therein numbered 10540.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, drainage works in the City of Auckland, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. Every person affected who wishes to make any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) must state his objection in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 18, Deposited Plan 11224, being part Allotment 2, Parish of Titirangi, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 1561, folio 71, North Auckland Registry, as the same is approximately shown on a plan recorded in the office of the Director of Works and City Engineer at the Town Hall, Auckland, under No. 11098/63 B.K.U. 439, and thereon coloured red and situated in Patiki Street, Avondale.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a road, being a portion of Miranda-Kaiawa road, within the County of Franklin, and for the purposes of the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the road the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the said Council situated in Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by and who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the 15th day of September 1965, being the day of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the County Office, Roulston Street, Pukekohe.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

Edgecumbe Township Sewerage Loan 1965, £46,000

“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of £46,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of installing a sewer reticulation system for the Edgecumbe Township, the Whakatane County Council hereby makes a special rate of six decimal seven pence (6·7d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Edgecumbe Township, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or when the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Whakatane County Council on 26 August 1965.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council, at a meeting held on 1 September 1965, passed the following resolution:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council for the purpose of purchasing the property known as Almond Court Flats, the Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0726d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Whangarei; and hereby resolves that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years, or until the loan is paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said rate as security for the said loan.”
