The Standards Act 1941—Specification Declared to be a Standard Specification

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 24 August 1965, declared the under-mentioned specification to be a standard specification:

Number and Title of Specification: NZSS 1755:1965 Light-gauge copper tubes for water, gas, and sanitation. (Superseding NZSS 546:1959 being BS 659:1955 amended to meet New Zealand requirements.)

Price of Copy (Post Free): 3s.

Application for copies should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1, or to the Government Bookshops at Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin.

The Standards Act 1941—Amendment of Standard Recommendation

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Standards Act 1941, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 8 September 1965, approved of the recommendation of the Standards Council that the under-mentioned standard recommendation, published by the N.Z. Standards Institute, be amended by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:

Number and Title of Standard Recommendation: NZSR 8: Lining of vessels and equipment for chemical processes—Part 1:1965 Rubber; being BS/CP 3003:Part 1:1964.

Amendment: No. 1 (PD 5285).

Application for copies of the standard recommendation so amended should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1. Copies of the amendment will be supplied, free of charge, upon request.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to regulations 41 and 63 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

RED reflectors manufactured by Leda Industries Ltd., Petone, the lens being marked “LEDA” and having a diameter of approximately 2¾ in.
