HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 20 January 1960 and published in Gazette on 4 February 1960, Vol. I, page 127, and affecting the Maori freehold land known as Te Koutu E, Section 141, by providing that the Maori reservation thereby created be for the purpose of a marae, meeting place, and recreation ground for the common use or benefit of Ngati-Karenga, Ngati-Whakaue, the other subtribes of the Arawa tribe, and the members of any other tribes in New Zealand resident in or about the Ngati-Whakaue tribal area.

Boundaries of the County of Hutt and Borough of Eastbourne Altered

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1961, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- The area described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the district of the County of Hutt and included in the district of the Borough of Eastbourne.
- For the purpose of representation only the Borough of Eastbourne shall, for a period of not less than 10 years from the date of this order, be divided into two wards to be known as the Eastbourne Ward, comprising the district of the Borough of Eastbourne as existing immediately prior to the date of this order, and the Eastern Bays Ward, comprising the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
- There shall be 10 members of the Council of the Borough of Eastbourne, exclusive of the Mayor, and the ward representation shall be as follows:
Eastbourne Ward ..... ..... ..... Six members.
Eastern Bays Ward ..... ..... ..... Four members. - The provisions of clause 2 and clause 3 of this order shall take effect on the date prescribed by law for the triennial general elections of members of borough councils next following the date of this order, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary for preparing any roll or otherwise providing for any such election.
- The alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
- The area described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the Eastern Bays Riding of the County of Hutt and included in Wainuiomata Riding of that county.
- The area described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the Hutt Valley and Bays United Urban Fire District and included in the Eastbourne Urban Fire District.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 1,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern side of Eastern Bays Marine Drive and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7260, in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of that lot, along a right line to the westernmost point of the abutment of Howard Road, as defined on D.P. 13855, along that abutment and the southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 10393, to and along the production of the north-western boundary of that lot to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12030, along the generally southern boundary of that lot to the boundary corner defined by peg XXVIII on D.P. 3298; thence north-easterly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 77, Hutt District, and along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the generally western side of Wainui Hill Road; thence generally southerly along that side to the north-eastern boundary of part Section 21, Harbour District, as shown on S.O. Plan 11774, along a right line to and along the western side of the said Wainui Hill Road to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12030, aforesaid, along that boundary to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 12030, the generally eastern boundary of Lot 47, D.P. 11205, the southern boundary of the said Lot 47 to and along the eastern boundaries of Lots 81B and 82B, D.P. 1541, the northern boundary of Section 29, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 29, 30, 32, and 34, all of Harbour District, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section, being a point on the generally northern boundary of the Eastbourne Borough as described in Gazette, 1935, page 1742; thence generally westerly along that boundary to the high-water mark of Port Nicholson; thence generally northerly along that high-water mark to and along the high-water mark as defined on D.P. 2041 to a point in line with the eastern boundary of closed road defined on S.O. Plan 18368; thence northerly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said closed road, being a point on the northern side of Eastern Bays Marine Drive; thence generally westerly along that side and generally north-easterly along the generally south-eastern side of that drive to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing 90 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern side of Eastern Bays Marine Drive and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 7260, in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of that lot, along a right line to the westernmost point of the abutment of Howard Road as defined on D.P. 13855, along that abutment and the southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 10393, to and along the production of the north-western boundary of that lot to the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12030, along the generally southern boundary of that lot to the boundary corner defined by peg XXVIII on D.P. 3298; thence north-easterly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 77, Hutt District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 77, the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 12030, and its production to and along the northern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 12030, and Lot 1, D.P. 11231, to the south-eastern side of Gracefield Road; thence generally south-westerly along the generally south-eastern side of that road to its intersection with the eastern side of Eastern Bays Marine Drive; thence due west to the western side of that drive; thence generally south-westerly along the generally north-western side of the said drive, portion of which is defined on D.P. 2041, to and along the mean high-water mark of Port Nicholson as defined on
