WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £72,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act, and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1950, for harbour improvement works at Whangarei, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one-sixth of one penny in the £1 (¼d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Whangarei Harbour District, comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board held on the 10th day of September 1964.

PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER

Resolution

"THAT the Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby resolve, by way of special order, to increase the total number of councillors from eight to 12 exclusive of the mayor."

Certified as a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held on 1 June 1965 and duly confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held on 29 June 1965, having been duly advertised in the Auckland Star on 7 and 23 June 1965.

The Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Papatoetoe was hereto affixed this 13th day of August 1965, in the presence of:

CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH

Town AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Proposed Changes to the City of Christchurch District Scheme, Section One (Zoning)

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Christchurch City Council dated 16 August 1965, it has been recommended that the operative district scheme be changed in respect of the matter listed in the Schedule hereunder.

The change of the district scheme as now recommended by the Council is deposited in the Council offices, 194 Manchester Street, and the Canterbury Public Library, Cambridge Terrace, and may be inspected, without fee, during usual office hours.

Objections to the proposed change of the district scheme may be made in written notice on form E, prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, or to the like effect, marked "Objection to Scheme Change", and lodged at the offices of the Council at any time not later than Thursday, 7 October 1965. An appropriate form for use by objectors is available at the Council offices and at the Public Library.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will then be entitled to be heard at a hearing of objections if he notifies the Council in writing within a period of which public notices will be given.

CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes to the City of Christchurch Operative District Scheme, Section One (Zoning)

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned changes to the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the City of Christchurch were approved by the Council on 16 August 1965.

The Council has resolved that the changes to the district scheme shown in the Schedule hereunder shall come into operation on 17 August 1965.

Copies of the scheme changes as approved have been deposited in the Council offices, 194 Manchester Street, and in the Canterbury Public Library, Cambridge Terrace, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

SCHEDULE

MAP AMENDMENT

No. 29: Those areas bounded by the railway, Waltham Road, Wordsworth Street, and Durham Street now zoned Residential "B", Commercial "A" and "B", and shown on Plan Syd. No. 1 2/2/65, which is available for inspection at the Council offices, to be rezoned as deferred Industrial "B" until 1 April 1969. (As defined in amendment No. 30 listed below.)

CODE AMENDMENT

No. 30: The addition of the following clause to Ordinance 6.

6 (2A): "That, except with the consent of the Council, development shall not be permitted in the deferred development areas of zones before the respective dates on the district planning map. Until such respective dates the uses prescribed as predominant for the zones shall be deemed to be conditional uses in the deferred development areas of those zones and the provisions of the Code of Ordinance relating to conditional uses, and in particular Ordinance 8, shall apply to such conditional uses."

BOROUGH OF DEVONPORT

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Change of Devonport District Scheme Pursuant to Section 29

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Devonport Borough Council made on the 18th day of August 1965, a change of the district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The change relates to land having a frontage to Lake Road and situated immediately north of the existing Residential A zone, and which is part of the area generally known as Alison Park, which land is to be changed to Residential A zone from public open space (proposed). Details of the proposed change have been deposited at the office of the Devonport Borough Council, Victoria Road, Devonport, and at the Devonport Public Library, Victoria Road, Devonport, and at the office of the District Land Registrar, Auckland, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act, and are there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the change shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 18th day of October 1965. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.
