Special Order Made by Waitemata County Council Altering Riding Boundaries
PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by Waitemata County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Waitemata County Council, by special order, hereby resolves that:
-
The number of ridings in the County of Waitemata shall be reduced to 10.
-
That the Wainui, Kaukapakapa, Maretahi, Kumeu, Birkenhead, Pukeatua, Waitakere, and Waipareira Ridings shall be abolished and the following new ridings created:
Helensville Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 1, attached hereto.
Wainui Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 2, attached hereto.
Glenfield Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 3, attached hereto.
Kumeu Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 4, attached hereto.
Albany Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 5, attached hereto.
Waitakere Riding: All that area of the county described in Schedule 6, attached hereto.
The above ridings are more particularly shown on plan L. 572 deposited in the offices of Council.
- This special order shall take effect on the 31st day of August 1965, provided, however, for all financial purposes it shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1966.
SCHEDULE 1
HELENSVILLE RIDING
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in Block V, Kumeu Survey District, in line with the north-western boundary of Ururua 1A 1 and running generally north-westerly, easterly, and then south-easterly along the boundary of the Waitemata County as described in Gazette, 1957, page 1295, to and across the mouth of the Kaipara River, to, and north-easterly generally along another part of the said county boundary to the south-western corner of Allotment S.W. 110, Puhoi Parish, in Block I, Waiwera Survey District; thence westerly and then southerly generally along the northern boundary of Allotment E. 111, Waiwera Parish, and a right line across a public road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 34398, along the northern and western boundaries of that lot, and the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 34398, the western end of a public road and the western boundaries of Allotments W. 118, N. 117, M. 117, S. 117, N. 116, M. 116, and S. 116, and along the southern boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment, and the southern end of an intervening public road, to and along the southern boundary of Allotment 37, to the north-western corner of Allotment 38; thence along the western and southern boundaries of a part of that allotment, the southern boundaries of Allotment 434, another part Allotment 38, and Allotment 433, and a right line across a public road to the north-western corner of part Allotment 32, and along the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment, the western boundary of Allotment 108, and a right line across Wainui-Silverdale road to the northernmost corner of Allotment 371 in Block VI, Waiwera Survey District, all the aforesaid allotments being of Waiwera Parish; thence along the western boundaries of the last-mentioned allotment, and of Lot 1, D.P. 26000, and along the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road in Block X, Waiwera Survey District; thence still southerly generally along the middle of that public road forming the generally western boundaries of the said Lot 1, and of Allotments 104A and 104, Pukeatua Parish, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of the said Allotment 104; thence to and along that boundary and the western boundaries of Allotments 245 and N. 246, the southern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment, and the western boundary of Allotment S. 247, and along that boundary produced to the middle of another public road; thence along the middle of that public road forming the generally eastern boundaries of Allotment 248 to and easterly generally along the middle of White Hills Road and Pine Valley Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment W. 255; thence to and along that boundary, and the eastern boundary of the intervening Allotment 255A, to and easterly along the northern boundaries of Allotments 256, S.W. 257, and N.E. 257, the northern end of a public road, and the northern boundary of Allotment 318, to the northernmost corner of that allotment, all the aforesaid allotments being of Pukeatua Parish; thence along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Allotment 233, Okura Parish, and the north-western boundaries of Lots 19, 20, 22, 24, and 25, Deeds Plan 1375, and along the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of a public road; thence again southerly generally along the middle of that public road forming the north-western boundaries of Lots 25 and 23, Deeds Plan 1375, and Allotment 7, Okura Parish, to and along the middle of State Highway No. 1, to and westerly generally along the middle of Black Bridge Road and Bald Hill Road to the eastern boundary of Allotment 4, Pukeatua Parish, in Block XV, Kaipara Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary to and along the eastern side of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Section 14 of the said Block XV, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of that section; thence across that public road to and along the last-mentioned boundary and continuing westerly generally along the generally northern boundary of Section 17 to and along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 16 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, and across a public road to and along that boundary and along the generally north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 12, all the aforesaid sections being of Block XV, Kaipara Survey District, to Inland Road; thence along the production of the last-mentioned boundary across Inland Road to its north-western side, and along the generally north-eastern and northern boundaries of the Helensville Borough as
