Revocation of Appointment of Waikato Valley Authority and Appointment to Control and Manage

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Waikato Valley Authority as published in Gazette, 14 April 1965, Vol. I, page 524, and appoints the Waikato County Council to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for soil conservation and river control purposes.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—WAIKATO COUNTY

ALLOTMENT 713, Taupiri Parish, situated in Block XI, Rangiriri Survey District, excepting thereout the mines and minerals under the said land, and subject to the mining interests reserved in certificates of title, Volume 544, folios 17 and 18: Area, 5 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 544, folio 15, South Auckland Registry (S.O. Plan 42122).

Taieri River Trust—Appointment of Commissioner

Whereas by a Warrant dated 2 July 1959 and published in Gazette, 9 July 1959, No. 39, page 905, George Kerr McPherson, Esquire, then Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin, was appointed a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust in terms of section 3 of the Taieri River Improvement Act, 1920:

And whereas the said George Kerr McPherson has retired from the Public Service, and it is considered expedient to appoint another Commissioner in lieu of the said George Kerr McPherson:

Now therefore, the Minister of Works, pursuant to section 3 of the Taieri River Trust Improvement Act 1920, hereby cancels the appointment of the said George Kerr McPherson to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust and hereby appoints

the officer for the time being holding the position of Fields Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin,

to be a Commissioner of the Taieri River Trust.
